Denis Stelmakh – a musician, pianist and composer. His main musical instrument is piano. He began to play it when he was six years old. Even in those days his talent became conspicuous. When he was 14 he finished The Musical School of Archangelsk with excellent results.
His composer's path began from replaying his favourite soundtracks of well-known composers, such as: Hanz Zimmer, Danny Elfman, Jim Lang, Clint Mansell. Exactly these people formed his future musical perception, became his teachers and instilled the will to create something like they did. Exactly then, in his 14, Denis understood in what direction he wanted to compose.
In 2011 his first composition "Memories" went out. So, due to the support of his friends and family, he continued to compose. Repeatedly he has been noticed by some young directors, with whom he cooperated several times and in 2014 he released his own first album "New Beginning".

“When I was asked to do the next installation of the Late Night Tales series I thought "This will be fun and easy, only a couple of days work. No problem!". Six months later, I was still pulling my hair out in some kind of quest to make the perfect mix. As someone who has never really done mixes before, I learned a lot of things along the way and the whole experience was very inspiring. I decided to approach the mix in a similar way as I would one of my scores. This is the soundtrack of my life. I included songs from many of my friends and collaborators and tried to deliver a mix that represents who I am as an artist and where my influences are coming from - both personally and musically.” - Ólafur Arnalds, March 2016
