After more than a year of being cooped up due to pandemic restrictions, lots of people are itching to hit the open road and get the heck out of dodge. If that's you, my guests have some great tips for planning and executing an awesome road trip. Their names are Jeremy and Stephanie Puglisi and they're the proprietors of the RV Atlas blog and podcast, the authors of several books on camping and road tripping, and veteran road trippers themselves, having, together with their three boys, spent over a thousand nights at hundreds of campgrounds from coast to coast. 

We start off our conversation with how the Puglisis began road tripping with a pop-up camper, and the benefits of driving places rather than flying. We then get into how to dip your toes into RVing without a big commitment, and whether there’s an ideal age to start taking RV trips with your kids. From there we get into best practices for planning and executing a road trip, whether you're going by RV or car, including the biggest mistakes people make, the art of road trip snacks, and when it's better to fly versus drive. We also talk about how to keep kids entertained on the road, including how to handle the issue of screen time. We end our conversation with the benefits of staying at campsites rather than hotels, why you might want to look into private KOA campgrounds, and why planning a great road trip always starts with picking a great destination.

Monnom Black presents” Legacy”, an introspective journey through the illustrious career of the legendary German electronic artist, Thomas P. Heckmann. This momentous release marks the first time Heckmann curates a comprehensive compilation, delving into all his various aliases and timeless tracks, including Knarz, AGE, Heckmann, Skydiver, Spectral Emotions, Purple Plejade, and the infamous DRAX, which commemorates its 30th anniversary this year.

"Legacy" encompasses a total of 23 tracks, 17 slated across three slabs of vinyl with an additonal six digital bonuses, featuring the cream of Heckmann's underground hits, such as "Himmel Und Hoelle," "Tanzmaschine," "Teufelswerk," and "EBM1," alongside lesser-known gems like "Chiswick Days" and "Parnophelia."

Throughout his career, Heckmann has showcased his prowess across multiple shades of electronic genres. However, it is his contributions to Industrial, EBM-Techno, Acid, and Experimental that have propelled him to notoriety. In 1994, Heckmann's acid-infused masterpiece, "Amphetamine" as DRAX LTD. II, launched him into the global spotlight as a force to be reckoned with.

Having released his latest studio album, "Body Music," in 2018 on Monnom Black, Heckmann subsequently featured on The World of Monnom Black compilations. Now, he returns to celebrate his groundbreaking contributions to electronic music and enduring Legacy with this special release.

Spectral Emotions

Force Mass Motion is back with more of his essential old-school inspired sounds on a fresh two-tracker via his own self-titled label.

The opener 'In Your Eyes' has elastic drum funk designed purely for the club with filtered vocals adding the human touch. Well-designed acid lines, big hits and smeared chords keep things dynamic as the writhing groove powers on. The fantastic 'Ecstacy' will have dancers in raptures with its explosive vocal cries and rave-ready synths. The artist's signature blistering breakbeats power the track along through breakdowns and big drops, all of which build the tension to electric levels.

This is another potent offering of irresistible dance floor weaponry from Force Mass Motion.
