Life (original music - kurzgesagt science videos)

From one of my favorite movies with one of the worlds greatest tophat wearers of all time. I present my refix of the Willy Wonka soundtrack standout 'Pure Imagination'

Pure Imagination

A little musical tribute to the amazing and inspiring video game Ori and the Blind Forest by Moon Studios. The original music this piece is based on - the game's Main Menu music - was composed by Gareth Coker featuring Aeralie Brighton. Check out Gareth's OST for the game because its mind blowingly good.

My version of Gareth's music came together in a few hours of messing around in Cubase. Recreated from scratch, I extended the piece and composed a short intro for some extra fun. For those who may want to know, Omnisphere, Nexus 2 and Kontakt are the main VSTs doing the work with some vocal samples to add atmosphere here and there. Sadly, recreating Aeralie Brighton's wonderously ethereal vocals wasn't possible because I'm a man who can't sing to save his life but rest assured I would have loved to have been able to add them.

Most synth sounds are the Juno 6, some soft synths used, and the drums are layered but the most present layer is a Roland 707.

Created this one in my bedroom while procrastinating rehearsal for a live set.

This track was written back at the beginning of the year but I never got around to finishing it. So I finally forced myself this morning to sit down and finish up the ending and upload it! Surprisingly it turned out a lot better than I had suspected and I'm absolutely in love with those EWQL Hollywood Brass instruments! Anyway, enjoy the trip!
