Paying homage to the legendary acid house style of bass lines, this Friday Freebie COABLT8 patch puts a modern spin on the old school bass lines known for having closed filters with high resonance. This is an excellent patch to bring out the best of the Cobalt8’s filter. Use Aftertouch to turn up the heat on things or Push forward on Y+ to close things out a bit for even more subtle low-end.

BroSensei for ARGON8

A Smooth pad with a nice amount of pitch shift for added style and atmosphere. The bigger the chord, the better this one will sound. Aftertouch lifts the filter up slightly, allowing you to add subtle accents and swells.  With Morph set to max value, it uses the new 1 pole low pass filter, which gives it extra sizzle and analog character. Be sure to update your Cobalt firmware to 1.1 to ensure this preset is heard as it should be.

In the depths of winter, darkness matters!  This suitably ARGON8 horror-themed patch full of dark illusions develops its weirdness with Y+ joystick actions.  Drop 3-4 octaves for some intense sonic scariness.

FM Slap for ARGON8

This track was an experiment to create a full piece using only the Modal Electronics ARGON 8 synth. This track uses 100% custom patches I developed over the past few months. All the drums, bass, pads and synth sounds are coming direct from the ARGON 8. Only some channel E.Q. and compression to make it more listenable. Enjoy!
