As a label that’s been growing for just over five years now, there are certain artists who’ve shaped our journey long before we even knew we’d start one. DJ Caspa @tundecas41 is one of those djs. We’ve been listening to his sets for more than a decade, long before the idea of launching this podcast series was even a thought. And if there’s one thing that’s stayed consistent all these years, it’s the sheer quality of what he delivers. But Caspa’s story runs even deeper. He picked up mixing at around the young age of 16, and from that moment on, music became a life path. Growing up during the acid house and Balearic era, the spark was lit early. His first love was Jungle Music and like any true selector, his vinyl collection exploded fast. He chased fresh sounds relentlessly, from early radio sessions in the '90s on stations like Weekend Rush, Pressure FM, Rinse FM, Unknown FM, Deja Vu, and Magic FM, all the way through to building one of the most respected Sunday shows on Rinse FM itself. Caspa lived through multiple waves of dance music, growing to a seasoned club DJ. He’s played up and down the UK and regularly traveled abroad. The sound on this podcast is 100% unreleased music from his friends in the scene. In addition to his club and radio legacy, DJ Caspa also curates his own acclaimed podcast series Upfront & Personal, known for hosting high-calibre guests such as Chris Stussy, Mr G, Djoko, Josh Butler, Anotr, Sidney Charles, Larry da Kat and many more. It's about fighting the repetitiveness of sequencers. It's an album full of tension fueled largely by a sense of anxiety, about feeling insufficient and shedding the excess anger accumulating inside. 
Sonically, it is dirt, grit, and grain. 
It's a story about wanting to squash one synth with another. 
It's a struggle between what is dictated and expected and pure exploration and experimentation.  A willingness to overcome perfectionism and allow oneself to be imperfect and raw. 
It attempts to capture beauty as a brief moment surrounded by grime and dispassion. The album is soaked in dystopia and nostalgia.

ModeFree journey in the electronic music scene began many years ago, with his debut live performance taking place in 2012 at the Dobre Bity Club in Cracow and Piwnica Stary Targ in Cieszyn.

Specializing in Techno, Acid, and Deep House, ModeFree creates an immersive experience during his live shows. Utilizing drum machines, synthesizers, and a plethora of digital instruments, he blends his latest material with spontaneous improvisations, delivering a unique and dynamic performance.
