Modefunk delivers fresh energy to the Drum & Bass scene – dark, heavy, and always with a touch of funk.
Behind the name stands Swiss producer Fredy Würsch, formerly known as Noizesplitter – a long-time craftsman of razor-sharp techy bangers and founder of Sine Function Music.

Officially stepped into the spotlight in 2023, taking 3rd place in the Neonlight – Bullhead remix contest. His version, personally selected by Neonlight and Blackout Music, was released as a free download via SoundCloud – a milestone that marked the birth of the Modefunk era.

Two years of studio isolation followed – refining, rebuilding, and reimagining his sonic identity. In 2025, Modefunk returned in full force:
His double single Program / Shift on Sine Function Music set the tone with surgical precision and unrelenting drive. Soon after came I Need More, featured on Hanzom Music’s New Blood Vol. 2 compilation – a glimpse of what was yet to come.

The breakthrough arrived with the Nerdrage EP on Sinful Maze Recordings – a four-track journey through orchestral intensity, neurotic basslines and distorted funk. From the cinematic Ascent (feat. Dezpot) to the raw punch of Nerd, the warped groove of Vegetables, and the darkly rolling Inhale, the EP showcases Modefunk’s distinctive signature: powerful, playful, and technically flawless.

Modefunk merges surgical sound design with dynamic groove and energy – guided by a forward-thinking sense of rhythm and a deep passion for modern sound design – a name to watch in the next wave of cutting-edge Neurofunk.
