Silat Beksi makes an emphatic return to the fore of his label Modeight, and this time he’s in the collaborative company of Moscow’s finest Swoy. The pair are a match made in heaven, as they traverse a multitude of sonic destinations on their aptly titled ’Starburst’ Ep. With their granular approaches to production well established, the pair take off with the deep undulations of  ‘Allophone’.  A groove that bangs beneath a shimmer of silver tones. ‘Pro2’ continues the journey with it’s upbeat bassline swagger, and raucous key strokes. On the flip side ‘The Escapist’ pours ultra dreamy pads like liquid over powerful rhythmic flow, until at least we finish with the heart warming heights of the title track ‘Starburst. With an effortlessly refined collab like this, we hope its not their last.

Continuing its incredible run of high grade releases, Silat Beksi’s Modeight imprint turns out its 14th record with mighty Moldovan producer Dubfound. Spread across 4 tracks, his ‘No Time For Wind’ Ep winds its way through a classy and cutting edge minimalist house vibe. The A-side begins with the mind bending, ‘Mishkitsunami’, a raw and raucous cut. Following on we dive deeper into ‘Clouds Are Flying Down’, a fluid and enigmatic slice of pure rhythmic flow. On the B-side the irresistible head bumping groove of ‘Wet Heads’ kicks things off. A collab with fellow Moldivan compatriot Dopustim. That electric bassline set to be surefire winner with club goers. And finally, title track ‘No Time For Wind’ finishes things off with its graceful after hours hypnosis. A perfect fit for Modeight, Dubfound brings the heat in emphatic fashion.

Following a masterful release from Dubfound, we are back again with another superb 12”. 
This time it's UK brotherly duo Clay & Heath Ostrer, also known as Last Pines who are centre stage. The pair serving up 4 silky smooth, and seductively deep minimalist house tracks. 
The A-side kicks off with and title cut "Solon" as it delves deeper with its bumping, low slung attitude. A certified bass face initiator featuring a cheeky nod to the Matrix. Followed by A2’s "Drift", a hazy, funk infused roller that meanders effortlessly below some echoed brass. A flip to the B-side and we continue with "Nocturnal", a darkly hued, warehouse worthy jam, featuring raspy, robotic vocal samples and tonal overlays. Finally we finish with B2’s "Go Ahead", a badass banger with a supreme subsonic undercarriage that takes no prisoners.

Expanding an ever-evolving discography of cutting edge minimal house and techno, Modeight adds another brilliant release to the fold. This time beamed in from Spain-based groover Loopdeville. People familiar with his work on Bodyparts, Rotate and his own imprint Delooped, will certainly be excited to wrap their ears around this freshly minted three-tracker. Opening with the low-slung, breakbeat jam ’Incase’, Loopdeville injects his characteristic funk and fun-loving vocal flair into the A-side cut. Creating an irresistible dancefloor destroyer. On the B-side, we begin with the swooning tones of ’Cleansing’. Lacing airy atmospherics and tonal key strokes over a seductive bassline roll. Finally B2’s ‘The Bounce’ is every bit as elastic as its title suggests. With a buoyant breakbeat rhythm underpinning stuttered vocals, and ghostly tonal dissonances. On the A-side, the journey commences with "Wet & Wild," a champion poised to ignite dancefloors worldwide. Its minimalistic beat serves as the driving force behind an irresistible groove. Embarking on our musical journey with Wiremü, originally from New Zealand and now based in Leeds, we set sail with his EP, "The Subtle Hustle." Beyond a personal passion, Wiremü's dedication to music production serves as a tribute to his Maori heritage, infusing his compositions with profound cultural depth.

"The Subtle Hustle," the opening track, forges a dynamic tone with deep bass, punchy percussion, and house-infused Rhodes chords. Minimal references and synthetic rips seamlessly fuse, creating a captivating dance track.

"Beat-Up Town," the second track on the A side, is a dance floor blockbuster with bouncy bass, accompanied by an 808 kick drum. Keyboard work integrates chords into a dynamic groove, making it stand out among dance tracks.

"Key Notes Frequency Quotes," opening the B side, introduces lead hi-hats contributing to a great dynamic. Vocal inserts layer over ripped synthesizer parts, creating a house vibe filled with energy and style.

Closing the record, 'Have You Written On The Wall?' takes us on a journey through running percussion and minimalistic elements, skilfully compressing space and stretching time, accompanied by atmospheric backing.

The new vinyl-only record label "Modeight" continues to expand the influence of East European underground dance music. Silat Beksi is well known for his tracks that pump the best afterhours worldwide, and also for his plentiful creative collaborations. 
Three tracks were prepared for the EP together with the immensely talented musician "Durrrred" from Germany. "Over" immerses us in a cold dark techno atmosphere. "Afterglow" brings you out of the darkness so that you can see the infinite beauty of dawn at the sea. The elastic bass line of "Incetption" pulls you into the dense vibrations that captivate you and won’t let you leave the dance floor.

Modeight presents 4-tracker from the Romanian talent Raul aka RQZ. He seeks out music production ideas from jazz, ambient, the cosmos and human behaviour, and brings it to the dance culture. This comes through in his creations. Cutting edge techno and house meets nu jazz, modern minimalistic and funky groove will make your dance attractive.

Never satisfied with following the status quo, Ukrainian imprint Modeight is back with their 7th release, full of inspiring and experimental sounds.This installment falls to Romanian artists Paul K &  Incolor, who combine sonic forces on the stunning ‘Policolor’ Ep. Each producer serve up a signature cuts of their own design, with Incolor opening proceedings with 'Dacia1300 Goes In Space’.. a low slung, slow burning groove that glides with effortless grace. It's meandering atmospheric tones illiciting an positively out of body feeling. Next up Paul K delivers a rhythmically fluid roller in ‘Shadowing’ ..a cut thats peppered with warped glitches and bleepy artefacts. Its textured, organic feel captures you instantly, folding you into its insatiable groove. The real cherry however appears on the b-side, as both talents meld their respective sounds to form the darkly skewed long-player ‘Kalor’. A sub fuelled bass line drives a heavy set minimalist beat. Gritty electronics fizz and pop creating a wickedly dissonant atmosphere, as rasped vocals interject throughout. This next release from Modeight will certainly prick ears on global dance floors, proving once again that the label is pushing the boundaries of minimal techno into unknown territory.

Modeight returns too the fore once again with a brand new release, continuing their mission to ply the depths of forward-thinking minimal talent from across the globe. For their 9th outing they’ve enlisted the skills of Sarajevo based producer and rising talent Zlatnichi as he offers up his dazzling ‘Baobabakka’ EP, full of innately groovy hooks and sonic intensity. Having contributed to 12” releases on Serbian imprint Red District and Miami’s Basswalk Records, Zlatnichi continues to display a mature and captivating sound. Overlaying a hazy cross section of tripped-out sampled and electronics over effortlessly fluid rhythms. Modeight nails yet another masterful collaboration here, showcasing a talent thats sure to have a big year head of him.

Ever in search of the freshest and most forward thinking minimal talent, Ukrainian label Modeight returns with its 10th release. This milestone 12” sees the imprint tap Canadian beat smith ckb, who delivers an intimate and groovy affair entitled “Round-Robin”. Now based in Leeds, the Canadian has spent over a decade exploring both contemporary and left field production techniques. Working meticulously to strike a healthy balance between the two that delivers on the dancefloor. ckb certainly accomplishes this across the Ep, as the youngster fires up with 4 distinctive cuts that are energized by complex rhythmic elements and heady atmospheric tones. A well deserved feature for the Canadian who is a perfect addition to the Modeight family.

Continuing its streak of red hot releases, Modeight Records now shines a light on an exciting new talent in Icelandic artist Ali Demir. Injecting a funky, infectious energy into 3 original compositions, backed up by a sublime remix from label head Silat Beksi himself. The young artist beguiles the listener with his raw and rollicking flow. From the uber fun, head bobbing bassline jam on ‘Fluent Whistler’, to the slick electronic riffs of Kumpas, and the deep, sub sonic wiggle of ‘Blackout’, Ali Demir carves out a sophisticated and immensely enjoyable sonic journey. 
A breakout release for an artist who’s certainly be one to watch in future.
