Ok, it's time. We are starting the publication of mixes from people from our club scene surrounding who showed up on 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘱 backyard. This very first guest mix, which is saturated with British sound and deeply embedded in UK black culture, comes from 𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙮𝙙𝙤𝙣 𝙁𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙩, who some of you could hear on second Discappointment event. The Night Bus representative on Radio Luz with an overview of fast, broken sounds, takes us into the abyss of bass and journey between genres such as grime, drum n bass, jungle and 2step.

Max Ctrl is a predominantly Techno and House-focused DJ based in the North West of England.

He has been a regular face of the North West’s underground rave scene since his introduction to it in his teens.
In recent years he has begun to hone his craft and develop his own individual style of DJing, which can now be described as raw, rough and ready, upbeat mixing packed with flavour. He tries to distance himself from the story-telling, journey-esque mixing that has become so prominent in recent years, instead focusing on keeping his sets enigmatic and dynamic.

Max draws key influence from the 1st and 2nd generations of Detroit & Chicago artists, as well as many European artists who emerged over the mid to late 90s. Although being principally focused on Techno and House, Max’s library freely spans a depth of genres, with it also playing host to quantities of UKG and Jungle, to name but a couple.

Contempo proudly presents the highly anticipated EP by Luigi Madonna, "Duality", a powerful exploration of the deeper and rawer dimensions of techno, enriched with hypnotic elements.

The renowned Italian techno artist and label founder, Luigi Madonna, has been an influential figure on the global scene for decades, celebrated for his dynamic performances and distinctive sound. As the driving force behind Contempo, Luigi Madonna continually pushes the boundaries of the genre, merging raw energy with hypnotic grooves. His recent releases on the esteemed Planet Rhythm label have further solidified his signature raw sound, earning support from many prominent artists in the scene.

"Duality" EP embodies the heart and soul of Contempo’s vision, reinforcing the label’s commitment to innovative techno that balances deep, hypnotic textures with powerful, pulsating rhythms.

The EP opens with "Foresight," creating an intense atmosphere with pulsating basslines and carefully layered synths, perfectly primed for peak-time euphoria. "Zonder" continues with hypnotic loops and gritty percussion, building a groove that gradually intensifies and deepens. The title track "Duality," stands out with engaging synth rhythms and haunting atmospheres, becoming a reference point for dark, late-night club environments. Finally, "Deep Depth" closes the EP, combining powerful bass with atmospheric textures, blending raw intensity with introspective depth, ensuring this release resonates strongly across various techno settings.

AXKAN & DUELLIST – Resilience
Mexico meets Scotland for a brutalist assault: hammering kicks, serrated synth textures, and walls of analogue saturation. No safe passage here — only forward momentum into the heart of chaos.

EAS – Honored One
From Los Angeles, EAS delivers a tense, ritualistic construction where a subterranean EBM bassline pulses through metallic drones. Hypnotic, uneasy, and charged with controlled dissonance.

HATELOVE & OGMAH – Hanged Bodies
A dark ceremonial groove heavy with ritual percussion and spectral synth chants. The layers rise to a fever pitch, blurring the line between transcendence and collapse.

CRYSTAL GEOMETRY + AXKAN – Kratom
France’s Crystal Geometry joins AXKAN for a militaristic strike of modular chaos and pummeling drums. EBM-infused basslines drive beneath razor-sharp synth fire, rallying the midnight faithful to the front lines.

RITUAL12 is not a compilation — it’s a convocation. Forged in analogue heat, drenched in distortion, and aimed directly at the heart of the floor, this record demands full surrender. Step in. There is no turning back.
