New Nous'klaer Radio by dear friend @Mattikk! As one of the hidden gems of the Dutch techno scene, he knows how to build a hypnotic groove like no other. If it weren't for the lockdown he would have joined us on Nous'klaer label parties this time of the year, luckily we can now at least share this mix. He'll be curating a newly launched @DelsinRecords sublabel called Mantis (links below), lots of those forthcoming bits of that included in the mix. Big thanks to Thijs!

🔺 LOCUS Mix Series #002 - Chris Stussy

When she gets on stage, Mexico-born Vienna-based producer Alyssa Auvinen Barrera becomes LDY OSC. A frontier-busting scrambler of sines by trade, Alyssa began her musical journey in the late '90s when she felt a connection to the heavier industrial sounds. By 2007 she was immersed in electronic music and soon turned her sights toward DJing. After learning electronic music production techniques, Alyssa moved to NYC in 2010 to attend university, graduating with a BFA in Liberal Arts and Science with a Major in Music and Sound Engineering. While in University her classmates called her Lady Oscillator because she was into the study of synthesis and DIY synth culture. 

She has long been taking part in synth-punk/wave projects such as Artefactos De Dolor - alongside Todd Sines and Archetype - whose debut LP 'La Niña' came out earlier in 2019, LDY OSC is now spreading her wings as a solo artist. After releasing the single 'OAO' on The Bunker New York 15-year anniversary compilation, quickly followed by her first solo effort on the label, 'Magic² of 8' EP, in 2018, Alyssa made a further impactful impression with 'sōt', issued via Swedish label, Kontra-Musik, and which could be presented as the "dub version of the Chernobyl meltdown".

Showing a much different facet of her craft, LDY OSC’s own take at the dance and festival-oriented music continuum can be heard on her upcoming 'Electric-Earthy-Esoteric' EP, to be released on c.l.a.w.s and Solar’s label, Squirrels on Film.  A citizen of the universe to its widest extent, just as comfortable incorporating foreign cultures and languages into her art as she is toying with the semantics of analogue music, LDY OSC is just getting started.

When she is not making music for night clubs and electronic music oriented events, Alyssa dedicates her time to teaching Barre and hosting  meditations using oscillators and other instruments used for sound healing. Her sound therapy techniques incorporate her extensive knowledge with music, tuning, and voice training. As well as incorporating body movements into her practice to further release tension in the body. Before her musical career Alyssa studied Physical Therapy in college and studied health sciences extensively. The workshop that she presents varies in format and can be presented in many different settings.

Deep Breakfast 069 - LDY OSC

For the 47th instalment of the Mosaic Mix Series we head down under for a deep and dubbed out mix of techno and house from Echo Inspectors.

The duo consists of Mark Baumann and Lance Harrison, two seasoned campaigners in the dub techno scene in Australia who run the highly regarded Primary Colours Label. 

As well as their self released records they have had a multitude of releases and remixes over the years on labels such as ETUI Records, Stardub, Silver Ash and Blueten, whilst also being remixed by dub techno royalty including Luke Hess, Salz, Dean DeCosta, Resoe, CV313, Bluetrain, Mike Schommer, Knowone and Star Dub. 

You will be sure to be captured by their love and passion for all things deep.
