Very excited about the release of our fourth reference. We welcome Kiri, who debuts on our label with his second EP called "Gateway to Hell". The Austrian producer already showed his weapons in his first release on the amazing Kurnugû label and now offers us in this new EP 4 tracks full of personality and power including a collaboration with Parasite. Grumpy Halftime/Jungle wrapped with corrosive percussion, sinister bass and apocalyptic atmospheres. Kiri promises to make us vibrate a lot with his Drum & Bass, welcome to his dark hell. This track was created by me and my good friend Joey for our Obskur project back in 2020. Influenced by techno we decided to combine a fluent and steady almost 4x4 flow for our arrangement... but quickly it evolves into a deep dive into the experimental.

Continuing to blaze their trail through the lower depths of Drum & Bass, DJ Ink's Architecture imprint returns with 5 cuts of bottom swimming dubwise ruffage from Hungarian duo Apostroph. Influenced heavily by the minimalist aesthetic and ambient sound design of artists like Loxy & Resound, Instra:mental and ASC, Apostroph concoct their own visions of stripped back half step crafted for the dance floor or home listening.  

From the throbbing kicks and bongos of lead cut "Control", to the melancholy echo chamber melodies of "Delusion", their steely vision takes shape. Things take a more sinister turn with the eerie building tension of "Haunted", going further into the abyss with the lurking darkness of "Separated".  Rounding out the package on a high, massive woodblocks meet the churning undertow bassline of "Vacant", imparting a deep Junglist taint to the whole package.  Raw, weighty and essential.

The first edition entitled 'Initial Conditions' assembles with DB1’s opening redefinition of form & function in Late Night; a journey of spatial exploration and intricate drum work arranged for polyrhythmic bitempo hybrid territory, palpating into a spectrum-rich environment top-dressed with scything layers of percussion.

Tone, DB1’s beatless secondary offering introduces fluid, localised doses of low frequency synth work, developing into an exploration inside rich, vivid arrays of convoluted space.

Vinyl copies of Initial Conditions include 10 infinite locked-groove loops assembled by DB1 himself, covering 1 bar percussion arrangements as well as ambience and drone/noise terrain. These additions aim to channel functionality and provide creative tools for performance.

Flip over to uncover the masterful work of DYL in YDNTKNW: a lesson in dynamics, donning swathes of industrial elasticity yet solidifying itself as a functional dancefloor-worthy exercise. Rip-roaring waveforms are barely suspended by the tension of cables buckling under pressure.

Paragon delivers via Molt’s first edition; 'Black Celebration (Stone Cold)': a controlled descent into insanity in the form of textured sample destruction. Pitch bent, brash and broken; Paragon’s drunken drum patterns dissolve into redux noise and drum confusion, conjuring a sleep paralysis inducing bed of imagery, advancing into a spiral of unconscious cacophony. The piece finalises as a crescendo of locked-loop noise.
