Steve Ray Ladson of The Blind Boys of Alabama & Robert Randolph Family Band is just a backwoods country boy from South Carolina. Steve Ray can play any instrument that he picks up {and practically does} on "BrotherCana", his first solo EP.  

Though he's got a 'lil help from his friends goin' on here—Rami Jaffee (Foo Fighters, Keysmen), Peter Levin (Greg Allman's last B-3 player and Amanda Shire's keyboardist), fellow Blind Boys Band member, drummer Austin Moore, and R&B singing sensation MJ Ultra—this four song teaser is entirely written by Steve Ray. 

Produced by longtime Blinds Boys cohort—songwriter/slide-guitarist/film composer—Jimmy Sloan as well as Steve Ray, "BrotherCana" is not just another Americana record. It's a whole new genre of Soulful Country as heard from a young-southern Black Man who's not afraid to take back the Blues and put a 'lil stanky funk on it 2!
