Colorhythm returns to Modern Ruin - this time in ‘Technicolor’. 
The title track calmly segues into a rich, smooth halftime breakbeat roller, backed by an emotional and thoughtful progression.

This good form is continued on “Contiunuum”, driven from the get go by a rumbling lowend and soothing backing ambient melody. “Zodiac” is the final original inclusion, taking a more ethereal tone and approach.

The final contribution to this release is a remix of “Technicolor” from BSN Posse, using melodic influence from the original to construct a percussion heavy, jungle inspired track."

Modern Conveniences proudly presents Liberation by Tellus. The EP opens with the energetic title track, showcasing Tellus’s evolving sound. Reuniting with Akuratyde for their first collaboration since 2019’s epic “Tides”, the pair offer up “Down River”, a lush evolving tune with dreamy breakdowns. The EP closes with the introspective “No Pride”, featuring the vocal talent of Australian Spotify sensation QUAILS. The strength of the songwriting on this EP reminds us why Tellus is such a well-respected producer, not afraid to push himself outside of his comfort zone while retaining his signature halftime sound.

Jaskin & Uneven return to none60 to deliver another proverbial letter bomb! When I first played these I had to don one of those suits like in The Hurt Locker.... quite flattering on my figure I have to say!

"Ashes" sounds like it could be taken from the soundtrack of a sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day that doesn't exist in our timeline ( I still haven't forgiven you "Rise of The Machines") with its bendy synths and machine-like punchy bassline! Definitely gets a thumbs up from me!

If you need a time out from all that terminating then come with me if you want to chill - I'll stop now! "Kaleidoscope" is one for all of us that love a bit of Acidic 170 squelchy goodness which is about 17 of us I believe? Hopefully Resident Advisor or someone can do a census so history can see that it didn't all stop in 1992!

Akuratyde returns to Modern Conveniences with Redesigned Vol. 2. The EP contains four remixes spanning a wide range of drum & bass styles, from the throwback jungle sounds of Method One’s take on “Lost Summer” to the funky liquid groove of Random Movement’s rework of “Plume”. Kharm offers up a melancholy remix of “Past Lives”, while Margari’s Kid takes on the epic collaboration with Tellus, “Tides”.

Once again Akuratyde contributes a Bandcamp exclusive remix: the much sought after “Last Forever (Real Train)”, a cover of “Love On A Real Train” by Tangerine Dream cleverly merged with “Last Forever” from his debut EP.
