This Record was written and recorded in Quan La$alles bedroom. As soon as I heard the first Chords of the guitar I knew it was going to be special. Needless to say My guy killed his verse. The Chorus was written at a time when I was starting the process of giving up on things that no longer served me . The song is about the inner struggle of making a decision to move on, being on the fence and having false hope that things could work out. I figured as the first Record it would be perfect because my journey started with being indecisive.

FALLING TO MY KNEES

Has to was written way before The concept of Bergamot was even thought of. At the time of writing this life actually wasn’t so bad. Writing the record felt as more of a reminder that life was getting better for me. Things weren’t the best but they weren’t so bad. Looking back I think I was trying to gain an understanding of why things progressively got harder for me and figured fuck it might as well tell y’all about it.

This Song was written from a place of trying to gain acceptance of being alone. Most of the things we deal with are in the Shadows, a space in which I had to confront the feelings of rejection, the anger of not understanding why people I love are no
longer in my life and the lingering process of grief. This was one of the hardest records I’ve had to write because it’s a departure from my past.


The VoiceMail at the end I felt was the best ending to this Project. As you heard the Intro  
This Outro was meant as a reminder of the love I still have in my life from Family & Friends, Coworkers, even random people I met during this time that tried to uplift me.
