Mode'yail is an artist and head runner of the independent label Legit Crimes productions. Though his music may have edge and be considered "raw" due to his life experiences and upbringing you can assure yourself that you would gain knowledge and relate to his point of view in every song. Mode'yail was born Najee Thomas in Atlanta, Ga at Crawford Long hospital on February 16, 1990  to two middle class working parents as any other common individual, but growing up around section 8, gang bangers, drug dealers, and seeing many peers influenced to the street life that inspired him more to enhance his skills and reach his community in a positive way to inspire others as well as become a role model to the children. Not much has to be explained of Mode'yail because he vows to put his entire life in his music with dedication and devotion in which his life wouldn't be in vain. Music was embedded in Najee from his father who was an extraordinary instrumentalist in his time. He gained his way of words of conviction and being eloquent poetically from his mother. He has been a producer since the age of 9, and has been a saxophonist and pianist since elementary school. Najee fell in love with hip hop at the age of 8 and started writing at the age of 10 years old. The rest is history yet untold. Through many trials, heart aches, triumphs, and betrayals he only wishes to continue to document his life in his music, so that no one would ever have to struggle as much in their journey of life.
