"Nova" is a UK Garage track me and my friend Monti made, full inspired by our mentors Burial and Pocket.

The story behind this track starts on 2022, i wrote some chords and a beautiful atmosphere with some demo drums and a vocal from a sample pack.

The main idea of the track is about changes, specifically to the way our hearts and minds work when we meet that one person. Sometimes love can give us something we always wanted.

In 2023 i decided to give it a flip until, in 2024, i met Monti (KILLV).
We sent some demos back and forth to each other, trying to see if we can find that one sound we can work on.

I sent him the track, and he loved the idea.

After a few days/weeks he gave me back the stems with more elements to the track, such as a wide and more complex tiny sounds but at the same time, he gave the track more life and obviously a beautiful atmosphere, some vocal chops and sound layers such as violins, plucks and more to give and call that special feeling a “beauty and memorable feeling”

When he sent me back the stems, i recorded a vocal singing “all i want is you” with some adlibs and vocal layers.
Did some harsh but not that deep vocal editing and post processing and we loved the results.
