Parker + Barrow (@weareparkerandbarrow) is a production and live performance duo comprised of Swedish native and former Forever Kid member, Joakim Bjarke, and Los Angeles born and bred video artist and former turntablist, Caity Croft.

The duo has played festivals such as Burning Man and EDC and held several residencies around LA. After spending over a year in the studio producing full-time, the duo has created several EP/LPs worth of music ready for release. In each of their original productions, the duo aims to conjure a specific moment - in time, place, texture, and/or feeling- and makes a point of not sticking to a specific genre in their effort to do so.

"It began with a crazy sandstorm around the Mayan Warrior Bus so there were not that many bike-riders following us when I started. But with every second of this wild desert sunset, more and more people joined our stage. In the end I couldn't even see the end of the crowd. I am so thankful to everybody who faced the sandstorm and danced with us in the dust. You guys and mother nature created a very special vibe, which I will never forget.
Actually I played 4 tracks which I never had played before. Two of them are not even released yet. I really hope you like this set. See you next year at the playa In dust we trust"

This is my live set from H.O.L.M. for Halloween.  I played during sunset so I chose music that is beautiful, melodic, and emotive.

My Tribute Mixtape Series #60 - Colyn

MODst has had a love for music for as long as he can remember.  From a young age he was inspired by a variety of musical styles like pop, rock, jazz, classical and r&b.  Beginning in middle school, he began to experiment with different musical instruments like trumpet, clarinet, and even the harmonica!  After always getting in trouble with his teachers by drumming on his desk, he decided to give playing the drums a try.  What a perfect fit!  He continued to play drums throughout high school in band, even joining a jazz band and steel drum band.  

In 2010 while at a night club in Las Vegas, he discovered electronic music.  This opened the flood gates of an entirely new type of music that perfectly merged his love for both melody and beats!  By 2013 he decided to give DJing a try as a way to listen and interact with music in the “hands on” way in which he was already familiar.  The last decade plus has been a whirlwind of music discovery which has taken him to many music festivals and events around the world including meccas like Miami, Ibiza, Burning Man, and Colombia. 

This diversity of musical exposure finds it’s way into Dustin’s mixing style.  His sets are uplifting, energetic, melodic, sexy, and fun, calling on music from various decades, genres and moods.  You’ll surely hear familiar melodic and vocal elements throughout his sets.  Some of his favorite genres are varieties of house music (melodic, afro, latin, organic, tribal, deep), and more commercially popular sounds like pop, r&b, reggaeton, and afrobeats. 

Currently, Dustin holds DJ residencies at various upscale venues in the Scottsdale, AZ area such as Global Ambassador, Toca Madera, Cala, Sushi Roku, LifeTime Athletic Biltmore Beach Club, and Walter Productions Venues.
