DJ, producer, guitarist, sound engineer, and beatmaker, Chris Gavin's rich and eclectic musical career spans several decades and genres.

In the 90's, he gained his first experience as a guitarist in rock bands in the south of France before transitioning to electronic music. Starting in 2000, he collaborated with tribal progressive legend Rick Pier O’Neil, becoming a remixer and label manager at Garbage Records.

In 2015, he worked with pop artist Thierry de Cara (Capitol) on projects as a sound engineer and beatmaker for major players in the music industry, including Universal Music, Sony, and M6. This led to his contribution of eight tracks on the album Love & Soul by Canadian artist Corneille.

In 2018, Chris Gavin founded the club “Danceteria” in Marseille, a project that reflects his deep involvement in the local cultural scene and where he's hosted artists such as Curses, Theus Mago and Thomass Jackson among many others.

In 2024, following several performances in Barcelona, spanish label Side Up Works offered him the opportunity to release an EP (e-nough), which received critical acclaim.
His productions, blending Indie Dance, progressive house, and techno, have captivated an international audience of renowned DJs and producers, including John Digweed, Laurent Garnier or Carl Cox to name a few.

His side project 'Danse Alice', in collaboration with producer Remain, explores dark disco and electro rock sounds and it has been released on esteemed labels such as Lumière Noire Records, Ombra International, New Day Everyday, La Dame Noir, and Throne of Blood.

PAULUM Records is proud to unveil a new milestone: our very first compilation series, a curated showcase of 12 artists from 7 different countries. Carefully assembled and split into three volumes, this collection highlights a diverse range of sounds while giving each track and artist the space and attention they deserve.

PAULUM011 VOL. 1 launches the series on July 24, featuring four outstanding producers who each bring their own voice to the label.

Returning to Paulum is Linus Duewer, the Hamburg-based artist who made his debut on PAULUM009. With his distinctive, groove-driven approach, Linus continues to define the label’s identity through subtlety and depth.

Also returning is Annina, a Finish artist whose remix on a previous Paulum release already hinted at her unique sensitivity and sonic precision. Her contribution here reaffirms her place as a rising voice in the scene.

Electronic Elephant, based in Berlin and a member of the Bladehouse family, brings a raw yet elegant touch to the compilation. With a strong connection to underground culture and a deep understanding of minimal aesthetics, his track adds both warmth and character.

Rounding off VOL. 1 is Robert Ostan, a respected producer from Romania making his Paulum debut. Known for his exceptional releases in the Ro-minimal space, Robert brings a refined, timeless quality to this collection.

This compilation series embodies the spirit of Paulum Records: international yet personal, forward-thinking yet rooted in timeless sound. Each volume invites you to dive deeper into the label’s evolving narrative.
