Atahualpa fue un proyecto musical peruano-italiano que surgio en 1990, conformado por Claudio Collino, Piero Pizzul y Mario Pinosa, quienes envuelven en sus melodias ritmos andinos oriundos del Peru y fantasticas historias incas realizadas en ritmos techno. Su tema "Ultimo imperio" (1991) fue el mas bailado en Europa y America. Impusieron la mezcla del folckore andino y el new beat europeo. Pioneros en la fusion techno andino.
La disquera que produjo este grupo fue DFC (Dance Floor Corporation) estudio discografico de techno italiano fundado en 1987. Atahualpa produjo 11 albunes.

Synthpop act Boytronic was ‘founded by accident’ in 1983 by an underage Holger Wobker and Peter Sawatzki in Hamburg, Germany. As Kapitän Sehnsucht, they were busy making soundtracks for sex shows in the city’s red light ‘Reeperbahn’ district not long before being discovered by a Mercury Records rep.
