A note from the artist:

Launching in January 2022, DSC (Deepak Sharma Collection) is a new digital series where I’ll be releasing an individual track each month.

The project materialized from the pandemic as an outlet to keep busy and sane from the isolation.  From fresh material to digging into the vault and editing older sketches, everyone was fair game.

The result is a collection of varied works where the sound is consistent with what I’m known for: stripped down, rolling and hypnotic atmospheres ideal for dark dance-floors which I missed both as a DJ and a dancer.

The first two years of DSC have been completed so I see this offering becoming a resource for DJs to grab a tool when they need on a more consistent basis from me.

First access will be available on BandCamp than later in the month the usual digital outlets with its own page on Beatport and then stream services such as Spotify.

I hope you’ll join me on the journey and enjoy the series!

[BIO]:
Gina Demarchi (1997) - artist, Dj and Producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Always in search of experimenting through her sounds, preferably in groove, dub techno sounds preferably in groove, dub techno - Detroit, tribal, and another side more sensorial and experimental linked to ambient- break and hypnotic, in her productions. She seeks through her art to transmit freedom, connect through sensibility, rhythm, dance and vibration. She always aspires that her creation to generate some impact. She began studying piano, and that sparked her interest to form the beginning of her career as a producer. beginning of her career as an electronic music producer, since 2016. Her reference by her father since she was very small are jazz, blues, rock, opera, among others. Her studies were initiated with Sebastian Galante and currently with Nicolas Vogler and other colleagues in the field.

She edit her first LP on Diffuse Reallity and EP on Illegal Alien Records.  Gina Demarchi also made releases for labels such as: Aesir Records, Arido Records, Different Sounds, Analogue Network and more. 
Working on her next EP loaded with groove, with remixes from high caliber artists.

She presented her set in different cycles and clubs in Buenos Aires, and in other iconic countries such as  Espacio 93 (Chile Tour 2022). Merging in different styles, but with the same line, between groove, hardgroove, tribal and dubtechno with some hipnotic atmosphere.

As part of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture’s 2024 program “All of Greece, One Culture”, Modular Expansion organized “Phygital”, an immersive event showcasing live audiovisual performances. These performances blended digital and physical-analog musical instruments, complemented by digital projection. The event took place at Rio Castle in collaboration with the Greek National Opera and the Archaeological Service.
The Phygital event is structured into three distinct live music performances of contemporary electronic music artists George Apergis and Alex Retsis, alongside simultaneous digital artwork projections by the artistic group DEN. This includes visual haikus, a collage of brief micro-compositions combining instrumental and synthetic forms, connected by a deconstructive and unpredictable storytelling.
In the first hour, the audience had the experience of a digital live music performance by Qebo (Alex Retsis), featuring a blend of electroacoustic and ambient music inspired by the architecture of the castle. The second hour highlights the EMEX project by George Apergis and Alex Retsis, blending physical-analog instruments with digital technology to offer a dynamic interplay between digital and analog sounds. The final hour was dedicated to an analog live performance where George Apergis will exclusively use vinyl records. The name “Modular Expansion” is inspired from the first analog modular synthesizers of which different parts were connected between each-other, forming an expansion.Modular Expansion is a cultural body of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and has to its credit actions with the auspices and financial support of the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Athens. Actions such as vinyl releases, art videos and publishing events. He is also a European Design Award holder, Silver Award in 2016 in the category Music & Films Covers. Modular Expansion have events in a lot of European cities and famous places like Berghain, Tresor, Suicide, Sisyphos, Renate, Birgit in Berlin, also in cities like London, Rome, Barcelona, Sofia, Warsaw, Moscow, Tel Aviv and at the most prestigious places in Athens.

Modular Expansion is one of the first teams which started organizing Techno events in Athens in 1998. In the end of the 90s began to host artists from the labels such as Tresor, Basic Channel and Chain Reaction, presenting the Berlin underground music vibe and making techno popular in the Greek capital. Founder of Modular Expansion known as George Apergis performs already in 2002 at the legendary Tresor in Berlin. Counting in his history more than 1000 events and hundreds of guest artists like Adam Beyer, The Advent, Alexander Kowalski, Truncate, Ø [Phase], Schwefelgelb, Yanamaste, Parallx, Philipp Strobel, Psyk, dj Rolando, Monoloc, Drumcell, Brian Sanhaji, Radial, Substance, Vainqueur, Johannes Volk, Funk D Void, Dave Tarrida, Sender Berlin, Kevin De Vries, Subjected and many more belongs in one of the oldest teams in the city of Athens
