ID - Unreleased incoming! We celebrate our 100th podcast with a mix that consists 100% of tracks by artists we've had on our show. There's a lot of unreleased material and rarities in here from artists we hold close to our heart, so we're very proud of this one.

We'd like to use this milestone to thank all of the artists we've worked with. The fact that they are willing to share their passion and vision on electronic music with us, fills our hearts with joy and gives us enough energy for another 100 episodes! It's been an amazing ride so far, and that could not have been possible without the music and the appreciation of our listeners all over the globe! 

We can’t wait to hear what our future podcasts will bring, but for now enjoy this special ode to 100 episodes of TANK Radio.

Simple Cat (Original Mix) is an all out statement of intent from this new constellation of Berlin veterans, Tegel Boys, a collective of rock ‘n’ roll disco dons, studio cats, and acid-rave aficionados delivering a distinct sound distilled from their deep and diverse connections as players and producer-collaborators in acoustic and electronic adventures past. (Hazy Pockets, FJAAK, Hauschka, White Denim). Tegel Boys are dedicated proponents of live acid disco, 303-melt, electric guitar drive, dada-bongo bounce married to deep-digging dusty-sampledelics. This debut track is a sprawling march out into the apocalyptic desert, sprinkled with cult-cowboy samples, a knowing wink to epic dancefloor sunset rides past, a crisp swagger into the future. The eight-minute debut is equal parts razor-sharp, crisp electro mechanics, muscular bass pulse, sinewy electric guitar, subtle synths, and the live juggernaut drums from acclaimed muzo Alican Tezer (Insanlar with Baris K etc. and other Turkish psychedelic giants). 

Remix duties fall to the unstoppable force that is Freudenthal, (Pardon Moi, Nein Records, Feinstoff) who ups the tempo and squeezes the whole production into a freshly-waxed corvette speeding over Miami causeways. This is peak-time electro gold, the cowboy swagger melting into superbly-arranged arpeggio drive, fist-pumping delight, frugal elements of the original track finessed into new aerodynamics as only Freudenthal can do.

Seemingly hailing from another parallel dimension where the Governor Andrew Weatherall himself presides, Warehouse Preservation Society (L.A. Future Boogie etc.) have dropped in to share the goods with this drug-chug remix, an extended broken-beat epic, slow-burner, a track destined for the hearts of all ALFOS disciples, a remix that builds and bounces along with perfect-shapes, head-bopping ecstasies. These Los Angeles lifers, esteemed Harvey acolytes, tireless proponents of true warehouse acid aesthetics, bring an astute understanding of dancefloor dynamics and EBM control with this major cut.

Kicking 2024 off with an incredible edit on our 'X-PRESSINGS’ edit series by London-based sonic duo Beyond The Struttosphere. They're currently dominating, showcasing their considerable musical production expertise and unwavering passion for cosmic, chugging dark disco.

Their debut EP released on Gouranga Music found much acclaim among Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston’s A Love From Outer Space online fraternity, also appearing on Juan Mclean’s (DFA Records) contribution to Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space mix series.
Propelled to newfound heights, the cosmic duo have since released a number of highly lauded EPs, remixes and edits on esteemed labels and now of-course on our ‘X-PRESSINGS’ edit series.

Beyond The Struttosphere’s music has made sonic reverberations around the globe and has been remixed by notable legends of the scene including; Rebolledo, Rigopolar, Vongold, Badknife and Mufti to name a few. The cosmic cowboys have been deep in the studio recently, working on new material, with live guitar now a mainstay of their productions. Their trademark sound combines resonant chugging basslines with reverbed guitar riffs, syncopated arpeggiators, 80s-inspired synths, vintage vocal samples, Italo drum fills and psychedelic 303 sequences.

We start a new year by welcoming for the first time Mexican duo Damo Mementto teaming up with Anna Forest on Darlyn Vlys' Polaris.

Combining indie dance and electronic rock, ‘Futturo Desconocido’ is nostalgic and, as the name suggests, ‘futuristic’, taking the audience on a deep and cosmic adventure.
The original is a collaboration with producer Anna Forest and has been remixed with two of the monster names in indie dance, Damon Jee and Rigopolar.

The track gets off to a strong start with a psychedelic base intertwined with hypnotic synths and distorted guitar riffs merging perfectly with Anna Forest’s poetic and evocative Vocals. Blending romanticism, cosmic imagery, and spiritual empowerment, leading the audience to a mesmerizing drop.

Damon Jee raises the tempo with his version of Futturo Desconocido, keeping the vocals but bringing in the drums and reworking the original into a dark, dancefloor-oriented work, with convoluted arpeggios and echoing vocals in a unique remake of the original.

Born in Mexico but based in New York, Rigopolar's mental remix of Futturo Desconocido will take you on a magical journey through time and space with its shimmering, arpeggiated synths, while the deeper cowbells will have you tapping your feet.
