VNNN. has a clear penchant for techno and its contemporary influences. The Essen-based DJ and producer is not only a key team member behind the Stone Techno festival, but is also a long-serving resident at The Third Room events that boasts bookings such as Jeff Mills, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, DVS1, for example. He also has appearances at clubs further afield alongside artists such as FJAAK, Floorplan, Dax J, Stef Mendesidis, and Bambounou, to name only a few. His tracks have been released on homestead The Third Room, as well as fellow German label Toolboxxx, and he continues to carve out staunch path collaborating with Ahmet Sisman too. This exclusive mix is trippy from the word go, developing a hugely hypnotic opening that really sets the mood and transports. Thoughtful, twisted and expertly curated, the half way point delicately turns the groove knobs up a touch as he finishes off in style by introducing some more stomping grooves and jackin' cuts with some deeper, atmospheric vibes for good measure. Mordeaux, or rather Kamil, has spent the last seven years immersing himself in the underground scene of Warsaw’s basements. He operates on all fronts—as an organizer, bartender, event technician, and, of course, a selector. His producer gurus include BRÄLLE, Lewis Fautzi, Quelza, and Vertical Spectrum, representing the original techno sound—melancholy and hypnotic trance often woven with breakbeats.  

His residency at the legendary Luzztro club and its crowd taught him to enjoy mixing tech house and progressive sounds just as much. A fan of spontaneous back-to-back sets and breaking phrases in tracks. He is one half of the Genderfluid duo and a member of the GruuvOn collective.  

He hates tomatoes and named his hamster Marek.

For the next edition of the Artaphine series, we’re excited to welcome Finalversion3 - label head of the acclaimed Gordo Trax imprint and event series.

His latest EP on Gordo Trax showcased his wide-ranging sound, moving seamlessly between techno and drum & bass, and featured powerful remixes from none other than Oscar Mulero and Answer Code Request.

The set we’re sharing is a live recording from his performance at Spook Club: a relentless journey through driving techno, rich in detailed sound design, and even dipping into the depths of dubstep.

Set the Mood with Lenz!

I’m excited to introduce Lenz, who made a opening set as the 45th guest in the Set the Mood series. As a DJ and co-founder of the collective De After, he’s created a platform to express his vision of the underground. His passion for techno was born on the dancefloors of illegal raves, a love that naturally pulled him from the crowd into the booth. Musically, Lenz stands apart from current techno trends. He roots for hypnotic patterns, shadowy atmospheres, and relentless, percussive drive. His sound is rooted in the heavier side of early-2000s techno, and his signature style is layered, pounding, and immersive. This has made him a staple across the Netherlands, with appearances at clubs like Paradiso, Club Atelier, and Club Basis. This mix is a deep dive into that world, only as a opening set.

For Lenz, the perfect opening set walks a delicate line between dark, ambient textures and driving percussion. His aim is to draw listeners into a dreamy, almost trance-like state while still making them want to move. That’s when they hit "flow." It’s not about overwhelming energy from the start, but about a subtle progression that invites the crowd to surrender to the music. The goal? To make people dance, crave more, and still have enough fuel to last the entire night. With that in mind, he challenged himself to begin this mix as slowly and intentionally as possible, settling into a steady 130 BPM groove from the start.
