With Trust & Breakout, the second double single from The Songweaver, Merlin Modulaw explores the project’s organic and intricate side. Blending guitar sounds, fragmented vocals, orchestral strings, saxophone, and jazz-inspired elements, these tracks create a rich, emotive soundscape. Drawing from classical, jazz, and electroacoustic traditions, Modulaw balances live instrumentation with meticulous sound design. Strings and saxophones add warmth, while voice fragments and intricate arrangements blur the lines between composed and improvised. This release highlights Modulaw’s ability to reimagine traditional influences through his experimental, everevolving approach to music.

Exploited Body takes it back to the club with their latest two-track offering 'Helix / Unravel' - a pairing, that meshes the intensity you've come to expect, with newfound high-speed break experimentations.

'Helix' is a spiralling fever dream, with drums of tungsten skitter through the blaring sirens and posessed screeches, showing no signs of slowing down. 'Unravel' is deliverance, release. Incorporeal voices echo through the cracks of the ferocious drums, eventually submitting to the soaring, euphoric synths signalling the escape from the cycle.

SMYAH: This is my fourth album. I decided to name it Liminal Spaces because of its dream-like atmosphere. Liminal spaces are the uncertain transitions between where you've been and where you're going physically, emotionally, or metaphorically, which reflects the times of creating this project. I feel that Veronika's visuals bring the feeling of magical realism and make earthly places look outer worldly which really fits the idea of the music.

Merlin Modulaw is a sonic architect who constructs immersive worlds and identities through the medium of sound. His artistic endeavors encompass a diverse array of approaches, spanning composition, production, performance, multimedia works and spatial audio. 

From an early age, his fascination with the convergence of various influences fueled a quest for innovation.
He seamlessly blends experimental electronic music and sound art with classical composition, contemporary rap, dancehall, and R&B, along with regional club-music styles. This unconventional fusion reveals the underlying parallels, forging a musical language that defies traditional boundaries.
Guided by a keen ear for innovative sound design and a talent for captivating performances across various mediums, Modulaw's artistic vision takes tangible form. Whether presenting acousmatic experiences, DJ-sets, performances, sound installations, or his own musical creations, he consistently pushes the limits of his artistic expression.

Having studied sound design and electroacoustic composition, Modulaw's creative exploration extends beyond the realm of music. He ventures into new territories such as videoworks and print, expanding the boundaries of his creative expression.
