Whispers of the Valley is a three-part opus, highlighting the talent of emerging and established artists alike, including a remix by Luigi Tozzi.

The project came to life with a field recording sample bank gathered during a workshop at La Vallée Electrique 2022, from which we asked producers to compose a unique track using at least one sample.

The valley shakes, illuminated by a play of vibrant colours, the sounds and colours blending and
transforming into apsychedelic symbiosis that recalls themagic of theplace.

As the night falls, the dancers bring the hypnotic sounds to life with their graceful and fluid movements. The flow of their bodies revealing boundless passion and creativity. The atmosphere is charged withenergy andthe experience isunique andunforgettable.

Night Garden is a musical project that embodies an imaginary space between our conscious reality and the world of dreams. It is a liminal point in space and time; a home for drifting forms and unknown sounds.

This beautiful twelfth episode of our Herbarium series was recorded by the gifted @janloup. We are particularly impressed by this one as it underlines our love for brave sound experiments combined intriguing grooves. This journey goes into so many different directions while it never loses it's thrilling and powerful attitude.
Jan Loup chose the Helichrysum as the topic for this mix. This plant never let's its leaves fall, it keeps them all year. Its name comes from the sun “Helios” ( greek) and “Chrysos”, gold. It likes to install itself in the cracks between rocks, in an environnement close to the sea. It is known to have great power of healing wounds and burns. In Homer's Odyssee myth, Princess Nausicaa rubs the injured body of Ulysse with Helichrysum and saves him from death. The secret of her beauty resided in the daily usage of this plant as a youth elixir.
Despite this story, the plant is called immortal because even when cut, it keeps its shape, blossom and color. All the myths and the recent observation of her incredible properties make the Helichrysum mysterious and powerful. Resistant, resilient, curing.

The talented producer & dj has quickly marked his signature sound, dubby & smooth as silk, oozing a specific warmth and groove which listeners can quickly recognise as Command D. Keep an eye out for a forthcoming release by Charley out on Animalia, due out very soon :) He's also working on a debut live set which he'll showcase over the Australian summer.

He has taken part in different musical projects within the underground rock scene and experimental and improvised music in Barcelona. He has performed in festivals such as Sonar, International Noise Conference, Observatori 2001, Experimenta Club, and in many other different national venues. On his musician phase he was part of groups such as The Fellatios, Bukkake, Orquestra del Caballo Ganador, D_Infection (with experimental Spanish pioneers Anton Ignorant and Ferran Fages) and M&D. He was part of Damo Suzuki’s (ex-Can) side-group ‘Damo Suzuki and The Nou Bodies’. He was also part at the beggining of the colective label Magia Roja where he shaped and managed the music content of the sessions at their venue. He joined dj Watusawa, owner of Zona Watusa and Selvamancer labels, under the ambient - collage project Molar Novate.
