Hace mucho tiempo que quise sacar ese mixtape y ahora que salió el sol...es la hora!!

La inspiración de ese mix viene de un concepto sencillo: reimaginar unos temas que me encanta en un estilo cumbiero, más lento, más sabrosos ;) Mientras que estaba terminando mi EP Cumbias Imaquinarias (https://elbuho.bandcamp.com/album/cumbias-imaquinarias-ep) volví a enamorarme de la cumbia y su ritmo delicioso y pues asi nació el mixtape que mezcla todo desde Burial hasta Manu Chao y mucho más...

Espero que disfruten esta selección de música que ya conocen pero tal vez en un nuevo contexto o unos nuevos descubrimientos. Voy a agregar un playlist pronto pero por el momento escucha, disfruta y viaja!!! 🌞 ☀️ 🌞

I have been sitting on this mixtape for a little while now but decided, the sun is shining, it's time for some new music.

This mix is inspired by a simple concept: some tunes I love reimagined in a new context cumbiero. As I was finishing my last EP Cumbias Imaquinarias (https://elbuho.bandcamp.com/album/cumbias-imaquinarias-ep) I  went back to some Cumbia roots and decided to make this slightly mad mixtape of all sorts of music with Cumbia as the thread running through the mix. Everything from Manu Chao to Burial ;)

Hopefully you discover music you know and love in a new light and maybe even some new music ;) I will add a tracklist soon but for now, jump in, immerse yourself and enjoy the Cumbia sunshine!! 🌞 ☀️ 🌞

WIth a keen ear for structure & rhythm and impressive technical skills, Coldfish performed an outstanding 2 hours live set at Alandala NYE in the picturesque landscape near lake Belis, Romania. His compositions created an atmosphere in which the best navigation tools were our senses. We wanted to share with you this special experience.

In anticipation of our next vinyl only record, "V" (IMB005), we edited and remastered seven previously unreleased tracks of ours, two of which are collaborations with longtime friend Rojid. This multi-faceted release explores textures and genres, and we hope it resonates with you all.

Mirage

WKND de WKND (the ep) is a tale of two clocks beating against each over. the natural time that runs in spirals and the perceived circles in one's consciousness.
The textural sound built from pointillist waves and layered tiny rhythms reminds of dub techno, especially on Carousel. The unique sonic universe is alienated furthermore by the distant falsetto-like vocal wrapped in a mysterious longing. While weekend de weekend (the track) is similar in construction, the main theme is given by the ever-morphing guitar and the ghostly vocals repeating like a mantra.
The different one is LeadTheWave, less dense in textures and elements, a stripped-down drum and bass roller with futuristic synths. A swift change gives the track an awaited sweetness that transports the feeling to a more emotional realm.
The EP finds it's home at 'Sang out of tune', a platform to go beyond trends and expectations.
