Just a fun, spacey, funk fusion tune. It was created in LogicProX along with some Izotope plugins. The track is a blend of modern sounds and beats, while also incorporating a bit of flavor of 70s funk/fusion. Thanks for listening!

Modulus

This tune begins with a rather familiar melody for those of you into early 2000s rap music. It then proceeds into 7/8 and with a decent beat supporting the groove. The tune does make some twists and turns but the opening melody is repeated twice; once in 7/8, and then again to close the piece but in a different key than where the piece began. I love making beats! Coming up with one in varying time signatures was a great challenge, but came together rather nicely (I think so at least). Thank you for listening!

Explicative

This is a wild ride of a composition. If you're looking for a good dose of Return to Forever-ish sounding funk/fusion, you're in the right place.

A few of my biggest influences are Frank Zappa, Thundercat, Herbie Hancock, and Chick Korea. I think its fair to say one can hear those influences at work here. Its a complex tune, but was not composed simply for complexity. The overall feeling of the tune is uneasiness. I am certain I am not alone in feeling some lack of ease in 2020. This attempts to express that.
