Apart from the more trancey and hard hitting techno, the main development occurred in the fast-paced minimal groovy techno. One of the rising DJ/producers in this genre is Assumption, who started his label Canticle and released music on Out of Place and Autonome.

In this mix, Assumption played only unreleased tracks from artists that are at the forefront of this rising genre, including Rene Wise, Hitam, Rove Ranger, Arkan and many more.
