  2004年よりキャリアをスタート。アーティスト活動を軸に、オーガナイザー・レーベルA&R・ブッキング等、現在は多角的にPSYCHEDELIC TECHNOを仕掛けるプロデューサーも担う。
2010年代、レトロゴアトランスのリバイバルブームを巻き起こしたMATSURIのブレーンとして世界的に注目される。
2015年から始動した「朝陽が昇る」を由来とする沖縄Agaitidaを主宰。世界遺産となったヤンバルを舞台に人生観を変える体験をテーマに東南アジアの掛け橋となる。
2016年、「波紋状の音と空間」をコンセプトにレーベル兼プロダクションLiquid Drop Grooveを発足、2020年のパンデミック中に脚光を浴びる。2021年には「天空の楽園」をコンセプトとした野外フェスEDEN 、DJ Nobuとシーンの変革に一石を投じるべくSPECTACLE、そして2023年はNESSが主軸のThe Gods Planetとバイナルレーベルをローンチ。テーマに沿ってPodcastや動画の配信など、テクノシーンに置いても異端児として根付く。
メインアクティビティとするDJでは、TECHNOだけに限らずジャンルの垣根を超えたシネマティック且つPSYCHEDELICなプレイで世界20ヶ国を渡り歩く。ネットラジオの絶対的な存在であるロンドンNTS Radioを筆頭に、世界のコアな層に届けるマニアックなプログラムにもミックスを提供。山頂瞑想茶屋とのプロジェクトYuta Chayaを始め、Liquid Drop Grooveから良質な楽曲リリースが多数控えている。

ーーDJ MIXはどちらで録音されたものですか？

代官山Debrisで録音させていただきました。スタジオとしても活用できて、DJ向きのホームスタジオとしては非常に優秀な機材環境です、かなり整っていて「素晴らしい」に尽きます！

ーーコンセプトがあれば聞かせてください。

僕のテクノは古いのではないか？、まずここに焦点を当てました。自分にとって新しい音楽をテクノのフォーマット内で探索、それを盛り込むのがコンセプトです。

例えば、序盤はハーフステップです、意外性ですよね。笑　他は、ディープすぎるハメより程よい心地良さを併せ持つインテリジェンスな音感を、四つ打ちではなく変拍子を意識的に取り入れる、トランシーの解釈を改める（僕は実際トランスシーンからきてるので、ここは僕なりにかなり苦戦したポイントです笑）もちろんバイナルに収録した楽曲も。今回はこんな感じでやってみました。余談ですと、12月中旬の香港でスローなベースに出会い、かなり刺激をもらったのでいつか表現できたらと思ってます。

2019年の北京ギグで、もし自身が好みであれば暗めのピークタイムテクノもできるようにならなくては〜というのを機に今のスタイルを取り込んでいき、アップデートを繰り返しハメ倒すプレイになっていった背景があるのですが、このミックスをキッカケに自分自身を振り返れましたし、年内に古いマインドセットを脱ぎ捨てる事ができて今はホッとしてます。

僕のやりたい事が流行りと真逆でも、自身を貫き通す美学があったのですが、2022年の開国の際に世界を体験できて、その中で僕の思想は「音楽的な可能性を狭めているのではないか？」ここに辿り着きました。好奇心を拡げて、もっと音楽に時間を注ぎたい、そう意気込んだ一発目のポッドキャストです。

ーー今後の活動、イベントがあれば教えてください。

2023年はクラブイベントをガンガンやっていくのを抱負にしていました、2024年は主催を控えていく予定です。レーベルワークにエネルギーを注ぎつつ、才能あるアーティストのサポートも兼ねてリリースを増やしていきたいですね。

自身でいうと、良質なポッドキャストが幾つか決まったので、そこで結果を出す事。あとは人見知りの克服でしょうか。。笑

This mix by Berghain / Panorama Bar resident @Fiedelone and @WaxTreatment's @Peter-Kuschnereit first aired on August 3 as part of @OstgutTon-official's takeover of @RinseFM and @Rinse-France. For this special simulcast on both stations in Paris and London, Ostgut Ton artists were asked to showcase a different musical side of theirs.

DJ Pete & Fiedel: “Our mix features some UK beats, because we just love it. During all those years of DJing we enjoyed the groovy and edgy waves that regularly poured in from the island, let it be breakbeats, drum'n'bass, UK garage, dubstep, UK funky or the more recent UK bass. We share a particular liking of playing out different styles and funky beats besides the rather straight forward Techno music. We appreciate each others work at lot. At the end of the 1990s we used to work together at the Hard Wax record store in Berlin. These days you will find us playing sets at Berghain's Klubnacht regularly and on special occasions, like our Wax Treatment events.”

The Process Series relies on referral as people who participate each suggest someone else, creating its form, shifting in directions I would not be able to steer alone. Matthew Barney once said this about his early ‘Drawing Restraint’ work that really struck me: “I was thinking about how the body functions in training – how the muscle breaks down under resistance and then heals larger and stronger. I was trying to use that process of resistance to create form.”
