In 2016 I went to -now my dear friend, back then only my favorite DJ- Mira's birthday at Kater Blau for the first time. I was super into music, making mixtapes at home, going to so many parties and writing about them but not a DJ yet.

The vibe of the club, the music in all floors, and the fact that Mira is big supporter of female acts and seeing all these badass women playing mind-blowing music at this party had its mark on me.

Watching these legends Mira, Britta, Mimi Love, Mila Stern, Caleesi, I wanted to do it myself and I found the motivation, courage and inspiration because they were also women like me! Representation is so important!

In the following years I kept going to this party for my yearly dose of inspiration and of course fun!

Over the years, inspired by Mira and being colleagues now, we became friends and her impact on my life wasn't just musical. She's such a wise and wholesome person with integrity and the heart in all in the right places, that having her as a friend and inspiration definitely made me a better person and my journey of the new international touring DJ way smoother.

in 2021 I was even supposed to play for Mira's 44th birthday for the first time but the pandemic... (I mean I don't even need to finish this sentence). I ended up playing her 44.5 in Summer, the Ersatz Katzen party :)

Anyway, fast forward to 7 years and the birthday queen not only invited me to play her 46 Katzen party but also gave me the biggest honor of taking over the stage after her.

Playing Thursday in NYC, Friday in Montreal, flying back to Europe on Saturday, Sunday noon I arrived to Berlin like a zombie. Sleep before and after the set is hard but during... Actually not that bad. I was on a dream state throughout my set.

It felt really like a dream playing in a room not too long ago gave me the inspiration to be here today celebrating a women who always lifts others up as she rises. 

I also played music from my label Marginalia, I heard Mira and Mila Stern playing Marginalia too and I also two new artists from Marginalia family, Bakayan and D’aria were In the room when I played their unreleased music! What a moment 
I stayed sleep dancing until late because of all the incredible music

what an honor to play at this unique birthday celebration, I am grateful to life

CHI WOW WAH RADIO 015 - Christmas Special

Not all first times are really great, but my first time playing at Acid Bogen in @kater_blau a couple weeks ago really really surpassed what I had envisioned and could have wished for the occasion. Initially, I was supposed to play B2B once again with my dear friend @janoma, but unfortunately he couldn't be present on that day. Luckily, the slot was perfect for me alone as well - early Saturday morning, sunrise time.

I absolutely love to play sunrise (and sunset 😉) sets, as they are perfect for dwelling between light and darkness. In those early hours, when tiredness kicks in, but the longing to connect and to dance is stronger, the atmosphere tends to be very inviting for warmth, charm, depth, dreaminess and intimacy. And so it was, in the so called here's and now's which took place then. I think I had never seen Acid Bogen so full at that time of the morning as in the last hour of my set (: More important than that, I had the right people by my side supporting me, which makes all the difference!! All of this together simply created such an amazing vibe for the brand new day that just started. A day which I don't want to ever forget ❤️ so much gratitude to all the dancers who danced their souls out, especially to my long-term listeners and those closer ones which I carry dearly in my heart 🙏

Flow Sessions 107 - Andy's Echo (live)

The dust has barely settled after our first episode of 2024, but we are welcomed back with a new cowboy rolling into town. Uone takes charge of the seventh instalment for the DEPTH. PERCEPTION series performed at the beautiful Winton Wetlands site, located north of Melbourne city. 

Since the inception of the DEPTH. project we have been a big fan of Uone’s music and expertise inside the booth. Our first experience was in the blistering heat of the Eclipse Festival held in Far North Queensland, our second was hosting him in Cairns for one of our interstate events. 

Over the years Uone has continued to grow his name, playing at some of the biggest and best festivals around the globe. Not only is he working on his own brand within the electronic music scene, but also his label and festival Chi Wow Wah Town which are seen to be staples here in the dance music community. 

With releases spanning across many different imprints globally, his newfound love is right here in in the country on Beat & Path. A forward-thinking electronic music label with an aim of nurturing talent from New Zealand & Australia. 

Little needs to be said about Chi Wow Wah Town. The leading boutique festival for all lovers of deep organic house, techno, ambient and global electronica sounds. This year in February celebrating its 10th anniversary with a stacked line up of the finest on offer from Australia and abroad. 

For this performance, Uone takes us on a journey through his signature sound of western-influenced deep house. The backdrop of the Winton Wetlands sets the scene perfectly, as Uone navigates us through the Australian landscape. The soundtrack features indigenous instruments, grungy guitar riffs and thick rolling basslines.
