 Shamikh (شامخ)is a Lebanese (roots) Jordanian Psychedelic Music Prod ucer, His Name is Mohammed Barjawi, & was Born on the 17th May 1989, Influenced immensely by Goa Gill who was one of the founders of The Goa psytrance movement in electronic dance music.
Shamikh, also called ‘The Taurian’ started producing music (not just mixing!) at the young age of 16. His journey Began when he joined several metal/rock Bands where he discovered his talent in making patterns with sounds and melodies. Using his acquired Knowledge of Instruments He then advanced to using technology and created his own one-man-band (basically playing and recording everything from drums to bass to vocals). This encouraged him to explore the world of electronic music production even further and eventually led him to study Audio engineering. His love for Rock and Metal rapidly transformed into Acid Rock/psychedelic rock (Pink Floyd, The Doors, etc...) and over-night metamorphosed into Psychedelic Goa. Mohammed Barjawi Aka Shamikh has a unique style of producing deeply influenced by twisted oriental beats and melodies; He produces his music with the element of vocal effects then beats, creating Dark Forest Psychedelic music. After Producing and Playing his Music locally & Internationally at Many Events and festivals, At just 19 he started his flight of spreading Psychedelic music through-out the middle east with his Partner/ Brother Mohammed Dahbour( DJ Hoppit) in Jordan in specific creating PsychedelicA Events in Jordan to provide a sanctuary and a school to all Psychedelic things.
