A few weeks delayed (on my part!) but we're back with a new addition to the VIBRATIO)))NS mix series. Continuing with the year's theme of friend takeovers, the latest addition is by my dear friend, dj, producer, curator & all around stellar dude; Tarik Omar

I've known Tarik for a very very long while now (since my Dubai days), to the point I'm actually unsure where we first met. Feels like he was always ever present in the scene in town, & we so clicked & bounded together so quickly that our friendship was just a foregone conculsion. 

Tarik is truly a music head of the highest order, where every moment of his day is revolved around loving, finding & sharing music from all across the genre spectrum. He's a bright beam of light, & this mix is a perfectly reflection of him, his taste & energy.

Here's the mix in Tarik's own words:

"So this mix was me playing live at Lulu & the beanstalk. I love playing there as they allow me tons of freedom. I tend to feed off the crowd energy and keep a constant upward flow, this time was a little different. the crowd would filter in and out. I went with that ebb and flow which is really represented in the mix. it rises then drops and builds again. I definitely enjoy hitting that vibe reset here and there, dipping into my favourite albums more than once."

"The idea was to play some of the tunes that I enjoyed most through the summer months and to capture that feeling again as we are moving into autumn. I meant to finish the mix a few weeks ago in time for the last summer days, so let’s hope we get an Indian summer in Europe. I’ve had a string of edits come out recently on the amazing new @SmuttyEdits label as well as Duca Bianco and a 10 year-old Reggae-Disco edit is coming out on a local Berlin label in the not too distant future as well. I’ll be in Istanbul in late October / early November to play at @Arkaoda and a couple other places with Venus Exotica - looking forward to it."
