I am writing to you today with something really special. Something that marks the beginning of something new. For some time now, the idea of combining traditional folk songs with electronic music, have been in the back of my mind. But it was not until last year, that this really materialized into something with a tangible result. The collaboration with American singer-songwriter G. Victoria Campbell, gave this project the extra ingredient that was required to really kick it off. She wrote new music and lyrics, that was interwoven with the traditional song. And the result, is like nothing you have ever heard before, the pounding rhythm of house music, and the traditional violin in the same track. So maybe we should call this particular style, Scandihouse? A blend of scandinavia folk music and house music! Anyway, make sure that you listen on #Spotify.
