waiting for the word

This whole song came to me pretty much fully formed as I walked down a cliff-path on the Isle of White about sixteen years ago. Since then it’s really just been a process of trying to record it right! Of course it could be a full Motowneque ballad with backing singers and an orchestra, that’s kind of how I heard it in my head all those years ago but this is my version - recorded by me in bits over years and years. And, I think, finally finished (for now)! 🙂

So Tired

Feeling very 80’s at the moment. Keep remembering listening to my favourite Now cassette on my Walkman at night. Making lots of these covers right now, some coming out better than others. I used a guitar bow on this one (on an acoustic bass) and obviously the old casiotone makes a brief appearance. Best, mofantastic
