Mogra is the alias of Scottish, Bristol-based electronic music producer Jonathan Henderson. Mogra’s music has a unique, distressed, warm and atmospheric sound that draws a nostalgic influence from progressive electronica, ambient and tech music of the 90s.

Mogra started writing music in response to a deep appreciation and emotional connection with the music of his childhood and a strong correlation between travel, memory and music. 

After writing and recording music for some time, with encouragement from friends, Mogra began to play live at various electronic open mic nights and events in Bristol including an event at Rough Trade Bristol.

Following a warm reception while playing live, in November 2018, Mogra recorded and released ‘Blue Phase’. This collection of music amassed to a full length album and featured tracks that spanned a mix of genres including, ambient, techno, downtempo and tech/dub and explored themes of fading memories and the ambivalent nature of the human experience through progressive, textural and melodic soundscapes and beats.
