René Martens announces his debut EP on the Songbird imprint, featuring the titles "Point Of No Return" and "Frantic".

René Martens is a well known name for many of us and of course a lot of us know René from his collaborations with Bart Claessen. In this EP, we get to enjoy the production skills of René himself. The first track of the EP, "Point Of No Return" shows us that René Martens knows very well how to tell a story through his music. René takes his proper time to build the song up and work his way towards the break. The superb arrangement that he has in store for us comes to full bloom in the break. An incredibly touching theme sets in and we're submerged in big synths and far away sounding strings. Then, almost out of the blue, there is that wailing melody line that will give everyone on the dancefloor goose bumps. Hands in the air, the crowd is cheering, the light jockey flashes every laser he has and the DJ takes control. A killer single for trance DJs all over the world.

For the second track, "Frantic", René focuses on his tech trance skills and delivers a huge banger for the big rooms and trance arenas. Hard drum programming sets the standard for the rest of the track and in the deceivingly smooth break René slowly works his way to the climax of "Frantic" and hammers everyone with huge synth stabs. The driving sub bass does the rest. Tailor made for the big in- and outdoors, René Martens' kick ass tracks are now ready to take over every DJ's tracklist!

The recent release of Alex O’Rion’s artist album “The Bigger Room” harvested an enormous amount of positive response from all four corners of the globe and soon discussions started on what the best new single taken from the album would be. “Craters Of The Moon” finally saw the light of day. Prepare yourself for a highly melodic and extremely uplifting trancer with clear references to the synthesizer heroes from back in the days. It’s just one of those trademark Alex O’Rion productions that will work perfectly in a multiple hour live set. The progressive style build up of the track subtly piles up layers of crips synth and string programming until the melody sets in. From that moment on, the dance floor will be packed to the brim. 

The remixes bring a wide variety of styles. Alex himself returned to his own original to rework it into a techy, almost Kraftwerk style version. Brother Richard Durand takes things up a notch and delivers a truly banging tech trancer. The Craving Remix is a bit faster in BPM and will work perfectly in the big rooms and last but not least we have Thomas Coastline, who brings a superb trance version with a hint of old skool in it. “Craters Of The Moon” is ready to rock!

Moonpax makes his debut on the Songbird imprint with the new single “Ice Coffee”. 

It’s not a coincidence that “Ice Coffee” appears on the Songbird imprint. The true followers of In Search of Sunrise know that Songbird has always been the label of choice for the series. It’s the atmosphere, the sound and the feel that defines the music we all immediately relate to ISOS. Moonpax knows it too and with “Ice Coffee” he delivers a true staple for every DJ that works with ISOS style trance. Ice coffee, the drink, is something you’d have on a hot day during your summer vacation and that’s exactly what we hear seeping through in this new single. A complex build up of well arranged synths and strings, including a driving bassline and an overall, spaceous soundstage that remains climatic until the very last second of the track. Not to mention the fab break of course. 

Noel Gitman and Dave G took care of the remix and added more trance, all the while remaining faithful to the original version. It’s just that their rendition is rougher; at times even techy. Moonpax’s “Ice Coffee” is an absolute stunner for today’s dance floors!
