Lost Time

At the heart of this music lies the steel pan — an instrument born in Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in the early 20th century.

During the colonial era, African drumming was banned under British rule, out of fear that rhythms could unify enslaved and marginalized communities. Yet, music could not be silenced.

People turned to bamboo sticks, metal containers, and eventually oil drums, transforming restrictions into invention.
From this resilience emerged the steel pan, the first acoustic instrument created in the 20th century.

The word Creole itself speaks of mixture and convergence: in Republic of Trinidad and Tobago it refers to Creole languages shaped by African, European, and Indigenous influences, and more broadly it names cultures formed where worlds collide.

Reflecting this spirit, Creole weaves the luminous timbre of the steel pan with tribal rhythmic currents, embodying hybridity, memory, and the unbroken force of music.

In music, grace notes are those added to the basic melody, the embellishments that - if played or sung at the right moment with just the right touch - can break your heart.  From the Silk Road to Manhattan's Little Syria to the cobblestone streets of SoHo, this album features the Malek Jandali Trio and the art of Taqasim, combining the Eastern sounds of oud with the Western harmonies of piano and cello.

5 - Moaaz Hamed Ft. Ali Baghdady - O' Sweet Girl

Mohamed Murbati, A Bahraini musician born in 1995. Driven with a passion for music at early age.
Being in the company of Mohammed Haddad.. drive Murbati to start composing. While, Mohammed Haddad, Marcel Khalife, Rageh Daoud are the major influences for Mohammed Murbati's music.
Mohamed composed music for long - short films and some Bahraini plays. Also, composed music for numerous poems some of them were written by Bahraini and some by Arab poets. his biggest collaboration was with the Bahraini singer Huda Abdulla. His debut album is "Winter Stories" was released in 2017,Which got the Gold medal of "Global Music Awards" in "Easy Listenting" category beside "Akademia music award" for the best album in “instrumental” category. 
Mohamed  interested in composing for cultural projects where fine arts, literature and theater coincide . He recently run a music workshop for children in Salman's cultural center in Manama.
A founding member of "Bayt Al-Thaqafa" , a group that is interested in presenting events and activities that are enriched by elite intellectual and artistic content. Mohamed is an active student in the musical scene of The University of Bahrain

محمد المرباطي ، موسيقي بحريني ولد سنة 1995 . بدأ شغفه بالموسيقى في سن مبكر شق طريقه نحو مجال التأليف الموسيقي على يد الفنان محمد حداد , تأثرت تجربته الموسيقية بمدارس عديدة من المؤلفين الموسيقيين منهم راجح داوود , مارسيل خليفة , محمد حداد , لودوفيكو ايناودي. قام بتأليف العديد من الموسيقى التصويرية للأفلام الطويلة - القصيرة والمسرحيات ، وقام بتلحين العديد من القصائد لشعراء بحرينيين وعرب وكانت بدايته في التلحين مع المغنية هدى عبدالله . 
أصدر ألبومه الأول "قصص الشتاء" في السادس من نيسان عام 2017 حاز الألبوم على الميدالية الذهبية في جائزة الموسيقى العالمية و أفضل ألبوم في جائزة الموسيقى الأكاديمية. شارك في العديد من المشروعات الثقافية التي تتقاطع فيها جميع أنواع الفنون . قدم ورشة موسيقية في مركز سلمان الثقافي بالمنامة .
