The official anthem for one of the biggest radio shows in trance has landed. Combining the sounds of legendary duo Aly & Fila and the rising talents Fady & Mina, is ‘The Journey’. Celebrating the 300th episode of Future Sound of Egypt, it marks a milestone in trance history. 

Egypt has got many things to be proud of, and the duo’s Aly & Fila and Fady & Mina are a crucial part of it. The experienced label-owners invited the upcoming boys to make sure the FSOE 300 soundtrack would please both the lovers of the classic trance sound, as well as those into today’s flavours. 

‘The Journey’ builds rapidly, kicking in with acid elements and a high BPM, right before it unfolds a warm, calming break of melodic delicacy. The outburst of synths that comes right after makes up for an absolute highlight, not only during the FS OE 300 anniversary nights, but to every trance floor it’s about to meet.

The voice behind megahits like Armin van Buuren’s ‘Shivers’, Ernesto vs. Bastian’s ‘Dark Side of The Moon’ and Rex Mundi’s ‘Nothing At All’ speaks up. On ‘Closer’, Dutch vocalist Susana introduces you to her multifaceted voice, as she joins forces with some of the best producers in dance music.

Vocals can enrich a track, make it stronger, bring emotions and translate what instrumental sounds can’t express. In the past 7 years of her career, Susana has intensified productions to great success. Even though the main territory of EDM has long been that of DJ’s and producers, its vocalists are gaining ground and have a bigger platform to perform on. Susana:”The biggest changes since the start of my career, is that I’m now much more aware of who I am as an artist. I really found my spot in electronic dance music and have a clear idea of where my preferences lie within the genre. So, when plans for a Susana album originated I immediately knew I wanted to be more involved in the creative process as well.” Armada Music follows this movement, and presents a new concept with ‘Closer’. Susana’s artist album has the format of a compilation, with each track being a collaboration with other producers in dance music. Dash Berlin, Omnia & The Blizzard, Mike Shiver, Josh Gabriel, Julian Vincent, Tenishia and Stoneface & Terminal are some of the names that Susana worked with, setting forth a diverse sound. The first single, ‘Closer’, a collaboration with The Blizzard and Omnia, has just been released May, along with a matching music video.

The ‘Closer’ album is a vocal-driven ride into deep, melodic trance and lush down tempo break beats. Susana: “My experience is that losing yourself in a song can actually bring you ‘Closer’ to yourself, as it awakens certain underlying emotions and, in a sense, at least that’s how I feel, sets you free for a while by relieving you of daily burdens. I hope my album will do the same for those who listen to it.”

Here are some thoughts.
With all the little experience I got to the past years about music producing... The thing I can say is that I fell in love with Trance music...
But.. "What is it?" All the time the same question and nobody agrees with their own definitions. For some, it's the bpm, for others, It's the saw lead we can hear often etc etc.
All of this, is just getting me tired as hell! I don't think I'm a tance producer for some and I am for some others. But the thing is, I don't care if I am a Trance producer or not! I just want to share to people the music I like to do and to play in my sets and I don't want to put it in a special box!
No matter if it's banger or not, no matter if it's 110 or 138 bpm, no matter if it's playable on the dancefloor or not... 
When I am producing a track, I try to use all the intruments I have, to say the things I can't say or explain in my life... Just to express the feelings I have right now.
The track I'm gonna give you away... is and will ever stay one of my best production!
I think it's the right moment to share this one to you. The best present you can give to me is just to download and share it around!
