DABAKA is a musical project that brings together Lebanese and Syrian artists around an audio-visual performance. 
 
Revisiting the folkloric dabkeh, a dance and musical practice emerging from the Levantine’s common heritage, the artists joined their passion and talent to reclaim its place within a contemporary context.
 
The project hopes to encourage more dialogue between artists on the cultural scene and to foster a greater understanding of the unique role art can play in bringing people together.
 
DABAKA is funded and supported by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.

A Muwashah is the name for both an Arabic poetic form and a secular musical genre. The poetic form consists of a multi-lined strophic verse poem written in classical Arabic, usually consisting of five stanzas, alternating with a refrain with a running rhyme.

Ya man hawa

In a research for new organic beats and bass, traveling between  dimensions. The  mixes are variation soundtrack for ARAK melting Dramatic sounds with fresh electronic beats. Emotional, aggressive, deep and direct .
lived and played in Beirut, Istanbul and now based in Berlin .

PS: “Colonel” doesn’t stand for any kind of support for militia groups, violence, or anything against HUMANITY and CULTURE. It’s just a name meant to MOCK BIG, OVERLY SERIOUS TITELS.
