The two originals Hands & Pein received new compositions in remixes by the remarkable Santi & Tuğçe, Flave and Kapoor. With each remix opening up different facets and highlighting the remixers’ personal sound script, Hands EP is a beautiful sound track that will paint vivid pictures on our festival experience.

Descubrí Casapalma en el programa de radio Tarataña, dedicado a la música española de raíz, y la voz de Irene Atienza me cautivó desde el primer segundo, a la vez que sus complejas texturas electrónicas sonaban una y otra vez en mis playlists en casa.  Esta canción en particular me enganchó con su ritmo poderoso, sus breaks desorientadores y su letra tan visual, comparando como un molino muele cereal sin parar con como nuestra da vueltas a las cosas, particularmente a aquellas del amor. Quería tener un remix para pinchar en mis sets, me salió algo muy natural y puro, lo compartí con Yoel Molina, el otro miembro del dúo, y sus brazos abiertos a la reinterpretación de su música me lanzaron.

I discovered Casapalma on Tarataña, a radio show about Spanish roots music, and Irene Atienza’s voice captivated me from the first second, while their complex electronic textures went on loop on my home playlist. This song “Como el Molino” (like a mill) hooked me in particular with its driving kicks, its disorienting breaks and its visual lyrics (relating a mill’s endless movement crashing cereals to that of our mind when overthinking, particularly about love). I wanted to make a remix for my sets, it came out naturally and pure, I shared it with the other duo member Yoel Molina and his arms were open to let his music being reinterpreted.
