The upcoming “Fluid” EP by Robot Koch is a Diynamic-debut for the award winning LA-based producer/composer who has already released on labels such as Monkeytown, Bpitch Control, Project Mooncircle or his very own Trees & Cyborgs.
Besides his electronic music releases, the RBMA Alumnus is much known for creating soundscapes for international television shows in Europe and the United States alike, and it is precisely this cinematic quality in his music that can be perceived in his latest release, “Fluid”.

The opening track called “Reach” is a feature with singer Delhia de France, remixed by Berlin-based producer Chi Thanh. “Reach” has been a vital part of Solomun’s sets for the past months, taking thousands of dancers’ hearts all over the world by storm. The elegance of Delhia’s vocals (who graces Robot Koch’s discography like Bill Murray does to Wes Anderson movies) combined with the driving remixing skills of Chi Thanh amplifies the essence of what Robot Koch has produced: an uplifting dancefloor hymn that calls for closed eyes and raised hands.

The second and title track „Fluid“ is a delicately melancholic electronic ballad featuring French multi-instrumentalist Julien Marchal. Marchal has contributed piano improvisation parts, out of which Koch in turn has distilled loops to make the arrangement that creates that distant hopefulness that drives through this track’s core.

Closing off Robot Koch’s “Fluid EP” is “Nebula”, a full on collaboration with Chi Thanh that arose from the initial remix work he did on “Reach”. Solomun liked the remix and asked if Koch wanted to make it a full EP, which sparked Koch’s idea to ask Chi Thanh for a coop track. The outcome is a gloomy upbeat composition that unifies the signatures of both auteurs.

All in all, the “Fluid EP” is maybe best described in the words of BBC’s legendary John Peel, who called Robot Koch’s unique sound of organic electronic music “Wonderful and Strange“.

The new single 'From There' from German composer and producer Josin – out today on Swedish independent label Dumont Dumont (RY X, Charlie Cunningham, Sean Christopher) 

Born in Cologne to a Korean mother and German father, both of whom are opera singers, JOSIN grows up in a household with music at its centre. Nevertheless, she decides to follow a childhood dream and studies medicine in Nice.
"I did my first year of medical school, but there was something missing. I think I never really saw what was there all along - music. Maybe because it was so normal to grow up in an artistic environment. 
At some point the inner voice became inevitable and I knew that I had to follow this path.“ She drops out of college, moves to Hamburg and develops her musical identity as a self-taught artist and producer.

JOSIN’s music sees a dynamic blend of electronic jolts, vibrating sounds and poetic vocals. Somewhere between heart and mind the profoundness of her songs seems to resonate. The warm melancholy of her production repeatedly merge into the electronic world. Her music is complex and honest at the same time - haunting and fragile. There’s ultimately something quite arresting about JOSIN, and her music marks an exciting start for a compelling new artist.

JOSIN has toured with RY X, BOY, Roosevelt and Sóley and played at festivals such as Der Maifeld Derby, Puls Open Air, Burning Eagle, Artlake and c/o Pop Festival, where she won audiences and critics over.

"From There“ is about the fear of losing control, if we follow our hearts. I pictured someone running down sunlit hills on a perfect day, running away from a peaceful place where he or she belongs but denies. This place up on that hill stands for the good things. Things that are true in their nature but maybe nothing you´ve planned - as human biology can be strange sometimes, you first listen to the head and rather try to intrigue the heart to make everything fit into your life. In the end your lies fall apart and you finally have to state that you ́ve been the one to be clueless all along. 

With "From There“ being one of the earlier JOSIN songs, its production didn´t change much. The guitar picking, the simplicity of the first part and the impelling orchestral ending still felt right, so that she just recorded new vocals and added some synth elements.

Morphable - Healing

Originally released on Dragonfly Records in 2005, Tripswitch's debut album Circuit Breaker landed to widespread critical acclaim and became recognised as one of the landmark releases of the psy-chill genre, establishing Nick as one of the godfathers of the scene. Tracks from the album were picked up for numerous compilation licenses by the likes of Nick Warren, Jose Padilla and Claude Challe, and continue to be licensed for compilations, TV and film - most recently "Roll Your Own" has been included in the soundtrack to the Bollywood movie "The Blueberry Hunt". 

The first release quickly sold out and 2 years later, by which time copies were changing hands on ebay for as much as $150, Dragonfly re-released it as a double CD package including a completely reworked edition with versions of each track from a clutch of the world's top electronic producers. 

Both original releases were dogged by digital distribution issues and were therefore never available for download in many parts of the world. Section Records inherited and sold off the remaining CD stock in 2010,  and in 2012 re-issued the original 2005 Circuit Breaker album as part of our own digital catalogue. Now in 2013, we're delighted to be able to add Circuit Breaker Rewired to that collection, completing the Tripswitch discography and finally making it available worldwide.
