C’est toujours chouette d’essayer des nouveaux trucs, mais à la fin ça ressemble toujours à du StudioH pur jus.
J’en conclus que je suis un musicien très spécifique, je ne sais jouer que ma musique.
Cette phrase est à la fois affreusement prétentieuse et un aveu d’incompétence.

At the end of May 2025, when I was overwhelmed by overly ambitious harmonic constructions, I started experimenting with lots of synths. 
While it's always fun to try new things, in the end it always sounds like pure StudioH.
I've realised that I'm a very particular musician — I can only play my own music.
This statement is both terribly pretentious and an admission of incompetence.

Step Onto The Dance Floor

Berghain residents Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann link back to Ostgut Ton’s label launch in 2006 with their first studio collaboration in ten years and the extended Phantom Studies, on occasion of the one hundredth O-TON 12“ EP release.

With Phantom Studies Dettmann | Klock channel their first joined releases Dawning (2006) and Scenario (2007) from over a decade ago with their first co-production in ten years. On this extended, 40-minute 2x12" EP Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock parlay their deep personal alliance and musical repertoire through emphasis on new functional Techno as much as hypnotic, melodic and soulful music by thinking outside the box. The seven new, original tracks reflect these attributions by communicating to the needs and expectations of both DJs and home audio listeners, but not neglecting one over the other.

With the release of Blawan’s debut album ‘Wet Will Always Dry’ mere days away, we decided to premiere a radioactive roller from the forthcoming full-length project that’s sure to get the party started when it lands on June 18.

Titled ‘Kalosi’, the new cut is a pure percussive workout complete with brain-melting loops and Blawan’s signature gritty sound design. 

Described in a press release as, “maybe the most complete statement from Blawan to date”, the new album sees the UK techno artist explore and showcase the various motifs and elements that have earned him his revered reputation on the scene. 

‘Wet Will Always Dry’ lands June 18 via Blawan’s own imprint Ternesc.
