raphael nascimento aka @perrengue caiu de paraquedas em são paulo vindo do nordeste em 2010 e por um acaso do destino trombou com uma voodoo na rua em 2011 e aquilo desviou sua vida pra um caminho que ele jamais imaginaria quando decidiu vir pra cidade. idealizador de festas independentes e dj desde 2014, foi um dos culpados pelo coletivo Kriança Esperança e é um dos fundadores e residente da Quack (@quackcoletivo), além de estar no line up das Voodoohops desde 2017. adepto do live-mashup, seus sets navegam pelo downtempo percussivo e psicodélico capturando influências estranhas de lugares inesperados e misturando música, audio de whatsapp, cena de filme e samples bizarros numa massa sonora batuqueira e viajante.

Beginning on this auspicious day of super moons, solar eclipses, equinoxes and general cosmic renewal, we present the first in a series of 24 mixes that will take you around the world. Each one hour mix will be inspired by a specific location on this very earth, mixed by a different artist who will also release an accompanying ep with us. So much alignment. Electricity buzzes through the soils beneath our feet. The currents are buzzing, zapping, beeping, purring. Japanese @dj-ground, with his debut performance in South America, harnesses this natural power to pour onto us as a silky, shimmering stream of energizing nourishment. His creations were awakened in 2004 within the oasis of ChillMountain Hutte, an art community and production in the wilderness of the city of Osaka. Ground sees and hears the invisible life forms that exist in the spaces between mountains and city, across the centuries, and through cultures - capturing them and transforming them into curious sounds for us all.

With roots as a techno DJ, she began to experiment with slower tempos, mixing 90’s-00's breakbeat, experimental jazz, world music and dub music. Becoming part of the Voodoohop family from Brazil allowed her to dive even further into her musical tastes, incorporating slow house and tropical psychedelia into her already extensive repertoire. With all of these influences, Killy’s experience allows her to create a gentle and consistent musical narrative that always keeps her listeners on their toes. Since leaving Japan, she now calls Berlin her home and played from big festivals, such as Fuji Rock and Garbicz Festival, to hip underground parties at tropical waterfalls in Brazil.

Since its been a while, and since this day was such a treat, I uploaded my Dj Set from the open air we threw a couple of weeks ago. I went into the set without any idea how it would turn out, the only decision I took was that I would start with O/Ys latest track, and I took that decision ten minutes before. So the mix became a very playful set with a lot of variations and maybe a bit too much reverb some times.
I hope you enjoy this rollercoaster of tunes! They worked with the sunset we had while I was playing, you should try that too!
