When people are walking into your reception space from cocktail, its SUPER important that a DJ is playing FUN & UPBEAT stuff. The worst thing we can do as DJ's is to let them get drunk during cocktail and then they walk into a space that's playing instrumentals....and then stuff food in their faces....talk about putting them to sleep before dance time. We set the right mood by playing music that lets your guests know its going to be a seriously fun night! Instrumentals are great during ceremony, or even a bit later while everyone is eating food (although I prefer to keep the music fun so they can bop in their seats, or sing along to old nostalgic tracks), but the key to a great wedding DJ, is knowing how to keep the right vibe at the right time. 

Take a listen to the vibe we set in your reception hall before grand introductions. Imagine, your friends and family are walking in and because its fun, upbeat, new and old music, everyone is enjoying themselves and we've organically filled the dancefloor before the night has truly even begun! Magic!

This is a great example of the type of music I drop during dinner. Recognizable tracks that your guests will be able to sing or bop back and forth too. Nothing to high energy, but slowly getting more upbeat as we get closer to dance time. Building the energy in the room is very important, as we don't want your guests to get bored.
