As life gets busier it seems that we can sometimes find ourselves with lowered energy even early on in the day.  After having a near miss for a energetic burn out Mandi Lynn the trust’s founder decided to spend some time researching and relaxing.  In the serendipity of her research she discovered something called coherence.  This is when the rhythm of the heart (EKG) and the rhythms of the minds waves (measured by EEG) flow in a balanced rhythm.   It is the difference between an LED lightbulb vs. a laser.   What is found is that when coherence happens in a person a great sense of peace is felt and focus is able to dive deep.  When they are out of sync this is when brain fog hits and it becomes difficult to focus effectively.  The more stressed we become the less coherence we tend to have and the less effective we become.  

This meditation combines techniques found that bring about relaxation and help fill your cup with energy.  It takes you on a journey of self compassion which will lead to other connection.  Where the me becomes a mwe.  It is also a journey that takes you on a healing visualization...unblocking and planting creative seeds.  

Mandi created it for herself as a way of starting the day with compassionate coherence but wanted to share it with everyone who supports Every Body is a Treasure Charitable Trust.

Girl Power has the potential to help heal the planet.  But if thigh gaps outweigh the wage gap in the concerns of our daughters then we have a challenge on our hands.  World-changing girl power begins with individual girls learning to treat their bodies as their best friends.  Not an easy task in this day and age of trillion dollar industry advertising efforts.  
In a small town in New Zealand,  a group of mothers and youth developed a girl power development toolbox that teaches mums how to support their daughters and daughters learn self compassion.  We do this in our community workshops and through our arts-based youth mentorship programs and through our artivism work.  This allows us to empower gritty girls supported by mums with mojo who are powerful enough to develop creative compassionate communities.
