It has been picked up during the years by high-profile DJs like Theo Parrish, Ricardo Villalobos or Efdemin and became kind of a very effective secret weapon for them. Mojuba is very happy to make this rare killer release available again for you, completely restored and remastered and packed with an addition remix by recent Ostgut Ton / Unterton artists Tuff City Kids. Gerd Janson and Phillip Lauer are taking Garage Shelter to a whole new direction, maybe satisfying even the techno heads of you, who are more into the sound of WAX, EQD or Shed these days rather than old school underground garage house! Italian born, Berlin based Gianfranco “Nanni” Barnaba, is the mind behind Ruff Stuff. Nanni have rocked up on a host on different labels, including Madhouse Records, Shall Not Fade, Suol, Quality Vibe and Neovinyl. However, it's the work on his own label, the aptly names Ruff Stuff Music Ltd, for which he’s arguably best renowned.

Grew up during the ‘90’s electronic wave, firstly as clubber and then as DJ and vinyl enthusiast, in the mid-2000s he decided to start produce electronic music. The first steps were moved on the Idm and Ambient territories, driven by his love for ethereal melodies and intricate broken beats.

The shift to House happened after re-discovering different classic records hidden in his collection. From here the idea to create a music project focused on representing the vibes of the old-school House, Techno and Garage with a propensity to find the newest, freshest sounds. Rough samples, hypnotic melodies, groovy beats and vocals are the main ingredients that marks the Ruff Stuff’s sound.

Mojuba est. 2005 as a platform for the sweet sounds from the realm of deep house, but you know exception proves the rule. a.r.t.less is the outlet for the techno side of things, it is very likely to find some Detroit related sounds here. wandering music one of the younger members in the label-family is a platform for any other kind of great music which might not necessarily fit the other two labels so you can expect tracks and songs ranging from freaking minimal to modern classical or even experimental stuff everything can happen, there are no rules!
