"La Batteria" by DJ Gigola stands as a personal interpretation and homage to the original masterpiece, "La Batteria della Mente," crafted by Dottor Dag nearly two decades ago in 2005. Drawing inspiration from her profound affinity for lento violento
and the early works of Dottor Dag, the original track swiftly became a cherished favorite in DJ Gigola's debut Boiler Room in 2022.
Fuelled by her passion for high-energy DJ sets and a distinctive soundscape, DJ Gigola embarked on a journey to breathe new life into the timeless composition. With her unique touch, including the infusion of her signature vocals, she reimagined and
revitalized "La Batteria," delivering a version that resonates with her dynamic style.
This rendition serves as a testament to DJ Gigola's signature club sound. The track features a distinctive vocal sample echoing the proclamation, "la batteria è completamente ricaricata" – “the battery is fully recharged.” This declaration sets the tone for the infectious energy that permeates the composition. Anchored by a robust
four-to-the-floor drum pattern and adorned with nods to eurodance through captivating synths, "La Batteria" is poised to become a dance floor anthem, pulsating with vitality throughout the year. DJ Gigola, with her unparalleled creativity, invites
listeners to tap into the reinvigorating energy of "La Batteria" and experience the sonic journey she meticulously crafted.

The second edition of this vital series features world-renowned talents such as Benjamin Fröhlich, Venice Arms aka Curses, Massimiliano Pagliara, Zombies in Miami, label founder Jorkes, and many more.

This tastefully curated selection traverses the electronic spectrum in style. Polygonia opens with supple and trippy minimal on 'Cheeky Seduction' and things build through dubby, stripped-back analogue grooves from HCL, typically bright, jacked-up, and synth-heavy sounds from Massimiliano Pagliara on 'Distant Memory' and retro-future disco-house from Benjamin Fröhlich. CYRK's 'Fade 2 Gay' is a slow-motion and moody dark disco chugger before Gunce Aci picks it up with some skyward arps and slap-funk drums on 'Whatever It Takes.'

Elsewhere Zombie Affair, aka Zombies in Miami & Mystery Affair, offer the body-popping electro-disco of 'Girl, You Got Me', Panooc's 'Pellucid' is a throwback and sensual vocal house cut and Lydia Eisenblätter brings all out piano house joy to 'What Is Love' before the closer from Mala Ika is another celebratory cut full of hands in the air synths and joyous drums.

This compilation is not only an essential listen but also an essential project that highlights and supports the vital work undertaken by Queer Base. The artwork was created by label creative powerhouse Daniel Rajcsanyi, and the LP was mastered by Blackheadstudios.

"All Night is a heavy roller that keeps the energy floating high and large. In typical BAVR style, it's a track that packs a punch with stomping kicks and a good old breakdown that descends into two proper UK-style drops. It's the kind of speed garage tune that winks to the past while sounding fresh for today's generation. It smacks you in the face without saying sorry.

In his own words: "I was working on a track designed to make a huge impact on big festival stages, where the crowd could really go wild. It had to hit hard on those massive sound systems. That's why I made the second drop even louder than the first—creating a surprise that would blow the audience away."
