In 2009, Jean-Marie teamed up with a line-up of prominent Lebanese pop singers, including Ramy Ayach and Yara, to produce the multilingual album “Belaaks”, which presented a unique fusion between ethnic oriental instruments and an acoustic jazz band.

This tune is the oldest in Nashaz's repertoire, being Brian's first composition for oud (back in 1997).  It features a 13-beat rhythmic cycle drawn from the traditional Arabic Muwashshah repertoire and improvisations on oud, percussion and trumpet.
