The man behind the Mokṣa project is Marco, born in Cantù, Northern Italy, in 1992. His journey into psychedelic music began in 2009, when he started attending local psytrance parties. Soon after, he began DJing at small events in his area, driven by a growing passion for the music and its culture.
In 2013, deeply inspired by the Greek darkpsy scene, Marco launched Mokṣa despite having no formal musical training at the time. Through years of self-teaching and experimentation, he developed a signature sound: darkpsy music filled with deep atmospheres, unusual textures, and heavy percussive energy, designed to take listeners on immersive, psychedelic journeys.
In 2017, he released his first solo EP on Fraktal Kaos Records, and has since continued to release music through respected labels such as Orphic Resonance, Free Earth Records, and Sonic Loom, to name a few.
Always pushing boundaries and exploring new sonic landscapes, Marco also collaborates with fellow artist Nibiru under the project name Mokiru. Together, they recently released an EP on Free Earth Records, showcasing their shared vision of psychedelic sound.
