Consistency is one of the most important qualities an artist needs in order to grow, and KaioBarssalos has been demonstrating this since the beginning of his journey. Fascinated since childhood by clubber and raver culture, in 2010 he learned to DJ and started performing at local parties. Two years later, he started to produce his own music with releases that achieved worldwide recognition.

Eric Umble is a versatile artist based in Brooklyn, known for his skills in sound art, clarinet, DJing, and event production. He has a classical music background and a passion for experimental sounds, which inspired his transition to DJing. Eric is also the co-founder, lead producer, and resident of FACETIME, a community-based platform that promotes music, dance, and visual art through events in NYC and beyond. He is a regular performer at various venues in New York, offering an eclectic blend of driving, hypnotic, uplifting, melodic, and groovy beats that never fail to mesmerize his audience.

The mix features minimal, driving, and loopy techno tracks that intensify the uplifting and melodic elements. Eric incorporates disco and house elements, using acapella vocal loops to enhance the minimal material. He mixed with two CDJs, keeping the energy high with a fast style and exploring slower tracks at higher speeds. The recording was a single take, intentionally raw and unpolished, showcasing the energy that resulted from taking risks.

With your classical background, what do you think are some elements that are similar between techno and classical music?
"On a personal note, my entire musical life has been a journey of honing into the spaces where I felt seen, supported, actualized, and safe. This started with an interest in clarinet as a closeted queer kid growing up in a Mennonite family in PA. I didn't have language to process my experience as a queer person, and clarinet gave me a method to communicate beyond words, along with a community. Discovering techno took this to a new level for me. As a DJ, I aim to share this sense of community and safety, hoping to contribute to spaces where others can feel safe enough to take a step toward healing. This is what techno does for me, and it's what I hope we can all do together through sharing and holding space for each other.

On a musical note, my favorite music to perform as a clarinetist was long-form and repetitive, and I became curious about how musical material develops over time and how methods of progression affect our experience of time. I also performed a lot of process-music that explores musical forms driven by the means and parameters of a given process vs. the traditional linear development of material. I find these concepts present everywhere in techno. When listening to a classical work that reaches a musical climax, I always want it to STAY THERE for a while and live in that climax. But it doesn't; the line continues somewhere else. Techno can sometimes feel like the climax is always there, never releasing, and unrelenting. I find this unresolved tension deeply cathartic."

@onav_onav_ is a Polish born DJ, producer and promoter with an ear for groovy dark techno and emotive electro. A scientist by day and a DJ by night, the Edinburgh based artist is an integral figure in her locale, both as a standalone name and through her
EPiKA event series and platform. Having honed her mixing skills and built an extensive track collection for several years, ona:v debuted on Edinburgh’s club circuit in 2019, where she remains an active part of the scene today. With a sound that spans fast yet groovy techno, ona:v channels older and lesser-known tracks throughout her DJ sets. As an advocate for equal representation in the electronic music industry, ona:v believes platforming is the best way to increase the proportion of female and non-binary artists and features their tracks in her sets.Bookings across the UK make up ona:v’s diary. In 2021, she closed for Clouds and Randomer at The Cause and soundtracked Café1001 in London.

Gigs in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh’, and Liverpool
have also cropped up in her evolving schedule. In 2021/22 she streamed from Berlin’s HÖR Radio. 2022 saw her Berlin and Polish debut. Back on home turf, ona:v regularly plays for local parties, such as ADSR, Resist and Tension. More recently, she headlined the basement stage curated by Sisu at Hidden Doors a prolific visual art and music festival in Edinburgh and performed at the world music event Knockengorroch Festival. In 2020, ona:v founded EPiKA. Geared toward supporting Scottish female and non-binary artists from the heavier sides of electro and techno, she promotes EPiKA’s bi-monthly party called CiRCLE at The Mash House. 

Here, she creates a nurturing environment for beginner female and non-binary DJs. She also runs a meetup page for artists and punters alike,where they can join ona:v and her friends at various club nights.
ona:v garners a radio residency on Threads, and is an internal member and a resident DJ with the Sisucrew. Production wise,she has released on labels like Pollination UK and Paradise Palms Records 2022 saw the release of her debut EP, Response to the TechnoCrisis, onDiffuse Reality

Sakura is a sign of renewal and marks the beginning of spring, but throughout time, it has become the representation of the Wabi-sabi philosophy, a Japanese aesthetics that centers itself on the acceptance of imperfection and temporariness while acknowledging the beauty in them. 

Temporariness and imperfection are the characteristics of a club set, as it is not designed for the one hour mark and is more so influenced by the crowd and their energy in shaping the sound on the dancefloor. 


So Sakura marks the beginning of a series of music and live recordings, with an opening set recorded last month at OXI, influenced by the crowd and the purpose of building up energy in waves of minimalistic grooves and long sphering transitions.

Aleksandr Rain began play techno as dj at late '90s. In 2000 together with Krankiss he launched promo-group Art of Music which first in Saint-Petersburg (Russia) started organize regular hard techno parties. From 2006 Aleksandr played as hardware live-project Mental Distortion. In 2009 he joined as electronic part to ethno-electronic project Kamennoe More.  In 2012 Rain leave Russia and went to Asia where he residence at present days (currently in Vietnam).
Artist prefer more hardest substyles of techno with offbeat rhythms and IDM elements.
