Description: A newly updated version of my singing portfolio, featuring covers of Bon Iver, Ella Fitzgerald and Everything Everything. I did this for part of my Uni project, my theme was to highlight the importance of the voice, and how it can do so many different things. Hope you enjoy!

This song I had written a few weeks ago, and I decided to record it because I thought it would be quick and easy. 28 takes later here I am putting it up moderately happy with it.

It's a song about London and meeting someone there, and falling in love. The distance kills him and he doesn't understand what London actually is and it frightens him. The same could be said for her, she is a foreigner to the countryside while he is a foreigner to the city. In the end he packs up and moves there hoping he can survive it if he has her with him.

I hope you like it :) I put a lot of my heart into thinking of the lyrics.

The concrete jungle is where she lives

The corner of Victoria is where I gave my first kiss

Crowds rush past us like rats through squalor
I fail to keep my cool, she laughs it off
The sound of sirens deafen me as I call her

The songs of London were just too new
I couldn’t keep up with you to get right through

My home is far away and I couldn’t stand her
London pushing me to change my ways 

Standing on single sides just felt so foreign
I never knew that my bag was in the way
The city streets were littered about in the autumn
With leaves of colour that painted highways
