this song was originally written after navigating what-feels-like high stake conversations between jews around israel/palestine. this prayer was written as a prayer for peace: that what we are holding so tightly can actually withstand being let go some, let to breathe,to  change, to be 'broken' as we may see it, to speak for itself. that this prayer may allow us to see eac hother and our human one-ness.  it's a prayer for peace amidst anguish that it might be possible, out of our control, to have faith.
